课题说明:本课的教学材料选自人民教育出版社《义务教育教科书'英语(三年级起点)六年级上册》Unit 1 ( p11)。该故事板块呈现的是Zoom在伦敦问路去买食品的故事。学生复习巩固并拓展本单元所学的核心语言。教学中通过故事主人公Zoom 问路的过程,推进故事理解,通过对故事非文字信息图片的解读,不断挖掘学生想说的语言。增加学生语言的输入,理解一定的文化背景。 学生情况说明:
1.六年级的学生性格比三四年级的学生更沉稳,他们对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣,但同时,他们没有那么活泼和爱表现自我。
2. 知识基础符合六年级学生学习本课的需求。在该单元已经进行了交流场所的方位、礼貌寻求他人帮助、问路或作答等语言内容的学习。在学习过程中,学生已经具备完成学习任务的基础,能够通过与他人交流,更好的理解故事。
教学目标:
(1)知识目标:通过阅读趣味故事,复习巩固本单元所学语言,增加学生语言的输入。 (2)能力目标:能够理解故事内容;能按照意群及语音、语调朗读故事; 能表演故事,恰当运用故事中的语言。
(3)情感目标:在阅读与故事的过程中,激发热爱阅读英语的情感;享受阅读带来的快乐;感受西方的建筑、饮食文化。
教学重难点:
1. 能够理解故事大意,能够综合运用本单元的核心语言,在语境和图片的帮助下理解“London Eye, Thames, Fish&Chips, finally, portion ,stomach ,hurts”等词汇的意思,并能正确发音。 2. 能按正确的意群及语音、语调朗读故事,表演故事并恰当运用故事中的语言。
课前准备: 1. PPT课件 2.课文的视频和录音材料 3. 伦敦眼和泰晤士河的视频材料
教学过程:
Warm up.
Let’s chant. 和 Let’s do.
Let’s chant.导入,创设英语学习的氛围,听指令做动作的小游戏,有效复习本单元的重要词汇。
Revision.
T:Where is the post office?Where is the bookstore?Where is the park?If I’m in front of the cinema,how can I get there?(复习本单元的重要句型,为本课时的学习做铺垫。)
Pre-reading
Let’s watch a video and enjoy some pictures about Thames and London Eye.
T:Which city is it? (London.) What do you see in the video?(学生自由说视频中的内容)。You
see a river.Do you know its name?(It’s the Thames.)What else do you see? It goes round and round.(the London Eye)Let’s enjoy some pictures.That looks beautiful/amazing/cool… Our friends Zoom and Zip are in London now. Let’s follow them.(通过观看视频,引出Thames 和London Eye两个新词汇,并为课文故事的呈现做铺垫。)
While-reading.
1.Watch the video about the story.
(教师播放课件视频,让学生初步整体感知故事)
2. To learn Picture1.
(1) T: This is picture 1. Please look carefully. How does Zoom feel? (He’s hungry. He wants to eat the food very much.) Listen ,repeat and imitate.(通过观察图片,让学生更细致的了解课文内容,掌握人物的心理,正确使用语气。)
(2)T:What do Zoom want to eat?(fish and chips) Fish and chips are popular in the UK. The British people like them very much. I’d like one portion.This is one small portion,so that is one large portion.That looks tasty.I’d like two large portions. What about you?(通过询问Zoom想吃的是炸鱼薯条,引出portion,并鼓励学生用portion说自己的句子。)
3.To learn picture 2.
T:Does Zoom know the way?(No.)Please read Picture 2.You see ,this is the film museum.Can you fill in the blanks? (next to; near).Pairwork.(引导学生自读课文,并抠词填空加深印象,进行pairwork 练习重要句型。
4. To learn picture3。
(1)T:Now does Zoom know the way?(No.)Now please read and draw the routine on the picture. (2)T:I really want to eat the fish and chips.Excuse me. Where can I buy one?(让学生动手画出路线图,加深印象;询问真正在路线图,让学生学以致用)
5.Finger play about asking way.
T:From picture2-3,it’s about asking way. Please be polite.We can say“Excuse me.”
Please practise it by finger play.(对前面3幅图关于问路的一个小结,也是对重点句型的练习) 6. To learn picture4
T:Finally,I’m here.Do Zoom and Zip get to the fish and chips shop? How do they feel?Let’s follow.What does finally mean?(终于) Who can try?(通过了解Zoom 和Zip 此刻的心情,让朗读变得有趣。)

(1)T:Guess.If you are Zoom, how many portions would you like?Haha,you have a big stomach. (2)T:Let’s read Picture5.How many portions do Zoom buy? Three large portions are for zoom. One small portion is for Zip.(假设学生自己是Zoom,他自己想要多少份炸鱼薯条,既练习了文本语言,同时也增添了乐趣;问题的设置,是考查学生对文本的理解。)

有stomach的句子,在句子中练习新词汇)
(2)T:Is eating too much good for Zoom? Let’s listen and follow.My stomach hurts. What does hurt mean?(疼痛) My…hurts.(鼓励学生说句子,把新句型My…hurts.内化) (3)T:Does Zoom stop eating ?I miss my tanghulu. Why does Zomm miss tanghulu?
It can help his stomach. Maybe.Don’t eat too much.How does Zip feel?(surprised)You still want to eat?! (适当的进行情感教育,不要暴饮暴食。)
9.T:Let’s learn the story again.(观看视频,跟读,再次整体感知整个故事。)
Post-reading.
T:Let’s act. You can choose one task.(不同的学生,水平不同,所以设置了不同层次的任务,让每个学生在课堂上都获得成就感;评价方式的等级,让学生有竞争意识,努力读地更好。)
Summary.
T:From the story , what do you learn? What’s your favourite sentences or words?(总结课文,让学生说一说在本节课所学。)
Homework.
(1)Read the story for 2 times.
(2)Read the story to your family members.(课堂只是学习的一部分,学生还需要在家练习巩固;给家人读故事,是很好的亲子活动,语言是用来表达的。)
