【课前复习】
I. Show some pictures of the students themselves and ask them what they are doing in the pictures.
(设计意图:展示学生们自己的照片,激发孩子的兴趣,同时复习现在进行时 be + v.ing ,引导孩子们自己总结动词变ing形式的规律)

Step 1 Lead-in (Activity 1 ) 1. Warming-up
Ask the students “Do you like festivals ?What kind of festivals do you like,

western or Chinese? What do people do on festivals? Talk about your favourite festival?” and then show Chinese official holidays and let students describe them.
(设计意图:以学生喜欢的节日为话题导入新课,为学生创造轻松愉快的学习气氛.本活动呈开发性,使学生有很大程度的自由度,便于激发学生参与的积极性,有利于激活背景知识词汇。回答问题的同学给小组加10分)
2.Talk about how we are getting ready for Spring Festival according to the pictures.

Step 2 Listening and speaking (Activities 2, 3and 4)
1. listen and answer:
How many people are talking in the dialogue and who they are? How many people are there in Lingling’s family?
(设计意图:让学生对对话中的人物和对话内容有一个初步的认识,为接下来的听力活动奠定基础。)
2. Listen and choose.

3.Speaking and writing:Play the video, have the students read after it. Then ask the students read by themselves and come to write the answers .
(设计意图:本活动是进行听力和口语训练。训练学生在听力过程中的细节辨认能力,培养学生听力技巧。并通过对听力信息的再处理,培养学生语言输出的能力)
4.Complete the passage.
(设计意图:让学生进一步理解对话内容,掌握本节课语法内容,考察学生对动词现在分词的掌握情况。)
5Act and guess
每组选出两个同学,一个同学根据所选红包上显示的短语做相应动作,另一个同学问全班同学:Is he/she „?全班同学回答 Yes,he/she is 或者 No,he/she isn’t。每答对一个小组加十分。每组一分钟时间。
(设计意图:让学生在游戏中会说现在进行时的一般疑问句并回答,同时巩固了本节课的重点短语,一举两得)
6. Homework
Search for information about Christmas Day and find out how people are getting ready for it.
