一、教材分析
本单元以Food Festival 为主题。本话题是在前两个话题的基础上,继续学习与饮食相关的内容,包括订餐、接单、用餐等日常功能用语以及对比事物的表达法等。
本节课的课型是复习课,主要活动为Section D-1a,1b和Project 部分。结合教材内容,本课的设计主题是: Reading for writing。即通过1a的文段阅读,激活学生对相关旧知的记忆,渗透阅读的技巧,挖掘文本的深层次含义,启迪学生的思维,在看、听、说、读、想的基础上,为最终的写做好铺垫。先由讨论健康问题导入1a的阅读。完成Pre-reading习题之后,首先速读文章,理解大意。然后将1b分解为不同层次的阅读任务,在逐一完成阅读任务的同时提醒学生阅读策略:阅读时划出中心句帮助理解文章。在Project环节里,学生讨论健康饮食习惯就如何健康饮食提出个人建议。在Writing环节里,学生需要运用1a阅读和Project讨论的信息完成一篇有关健康饮食的书面表达,达到语言输出的目的。
二、学情分析
八(8)班学生共43人,其中男生18人,女生25人。大部分学生活泼好动,好奇心强,思维活跃。但就总体而言,大部分学生英语基础及各方面能力极其薄弱,英语语感弱;学习积极性不高,学习兴趣不浓,没有养成良好的学习习惯;学习自主性差,被动学习。教师要在充分了解学生的情况下,采取一定的措施帮助学生夯实基础,同时提高他们的学习积极性,培养良好的学习习惯,为学生今后的学习打下坚实的基础。
三、教学目标: 1. 知识目标:
(1)学习并掌握新词汇:regularly, diet,in short, not only…but (also)… (2)能回忆并说出、写出所学食物名称的词;
(3)能运用如何提建议的句型谈论健康饮食及其重要性:
*You / We should /shouldn't...
*You'd /We'd better(not)... *You /We need to...
*It is important /necessary for sb. to ... 2. 技能目标
(1)能读懂有关谈论健康饮食及其重要性的短文,识别主题,并获取主要信息;
(2)能在教师的帮助下用简单的语言阐述健康饮食的重要性; (3)能拟出文章的题目,找出各段的中心句; (4)能写出简单的关于健康饮食及其重要性的短文; 3. 情感目标
(1)激发学生对英语学习的兴趣,培养良好的学习习惯:如课前学习和自主学习等;
(2)学生通过本节课的学习,懂得辨别健康和不健康食物,从而懂得如何健康饮食,提高他们的健康卫生意识。

根据八年级学生的心理特点,本课拟主要采用任务型教学法、情景教学法进行,采取先学后教的策略,让学生从中体验、理解、感悟和习得知识。为了有效激活课堂气氛,同时采用游戏、竞争和互动方式教学,体现教师为主导、学生为主体的教学原则。

Step 1 Warming-up and lead-in
1. Greeting to help students relax to get ready for the class. 2. Set a shooting game to lead in. Click on the right can:

3. Lead to the new lesson. Show the learning aims and tell student what they will have group work in learning.
【设计意图】通过师生间闲聊式的问候帮助学生放松心情,做好上课的准备。同时设置一个学生熟悉的弹弓射击游戏让学生进行选择,顺势引入本课主题。这样能极大地吸引学生的注意力,激发他们学习的兴趣,让他们带着好奇心期待本课的学习。向学生展示学习目标,可以让他们对学习心中有数,消除学习的紧张心理。
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Group work: Play a game, choose the lucky red bag, say out the names of food or drinks.
【设计意图】通过设置学生熟悉的抢红包游戏,点燃学生的参与热情,同时培养他们的团队意识和竞争意识。
2. Task 1: To be a good speaker. (1)Free talk:
What's your favorite food? Why?
What do you think are healthy food and drinks? (2)Look at the picture and discuss.
Look at a picture of a fat boy. Present his eating habits, let student discuss whether his eating habits healthy or not.Then lead students to use some sentence patterns to give him some suggestions:
*He should/shouldn't... *He'd better (not)... *He needs to ...
*It's important/necessary...for him to...
(3)Tick and share. Let students tick the healthy eating habits they have and share in the class.
【设计意图】通过设置Task 1 让学生头脑风暴,激活旧知,进行口语交际,让他们有机会发声。运用实物和图片展示现身说法让学生辨别健康食品与不健康食品,饮食习惯对健康的影响,引导学生要选择健康的食物和养成良好的饮食习惯。这样学生可看,可说,可想,由浅入深,步步推进。
Step 3 While-reading Task 2 To be a fast reader.
1. Let student read the passage and complete some tasks. (1) How much advice is there in the passage? (2) Circle the introduction and conclusion part. (3) Underline the topic sentences of Paragraphs 2-4. 2. Check the answers and point out the fast reading skills.
