Analysis of the teaching material
Project English Grade 8 Unit 7 Topic 3 I cooked the most successfully. Section A is focused on the topic of International Food Festival and Having Meals. The main functional items are talking about ordering food and taking an order. The type of this lesson is listening and speaking, and according to the Junior High School English Curriculum Standards that request the students who are in Grade 8 should achieve Level 4.From the aspects of language skills, the students can understand the familiar topics and extract information and get the main idea from the dialogues. The students should understand what is heard according to the orders and questions. From the aspects of speaking, they can lead to the topics and make several turn-talking. The students can take part in the role-play activities with the teacher’s guide.
Teaching Aims
1.The students can understand and apply the words lady,、gentleman,、sale、guest 、menu、corn、bill、kind-hearted、salad、beer ,soft drink by making dialogs.
2. The students will learn some social communications by situational methods. Let’s wish them success! Enjoy yourselves! May I take your order? Which kind of drink would you like, beer or soft drink? May I have the bill, please? Thanks for coming.
3 Know about how to make an opening speech by teacher’s guide.
4. Learn how to order and offer food and drinks by their group work and enable the Ss to help people in trouble by cooperating with others.

Learning Strategies
Perceive, understand, remember and apply the words in the situational circumstances.
The most important method of learning English is to form a good oral ability. Not only should I guide the students to speak English actively, but also encourage them to take part in the class activities .Students can read and speak loudly and clearly and form a good habit of learning English.
Analysis of the students
The students in Grade 8 have stored some English language skills. After three-term studying, the students should have formed certain self-study abilities and they have a good sense of cooperation. But the students are lack of learning skills and the students seldom communicate in English. They are not so confident. Maybe some of them don’t want to learn English because of their basis. So I should help them to form a good habit in learning English and I should help them discover the principles and rules by real English class activities.
In this way, I can achieve my teaching aims and make this lesson effective.
Teaching Aids : A tape recorder, projector, blackboard , several microphones, some candies
some balloons ,some plates and cups
