The First Period（1a-2d）
一、教材内容分析： 英语《新课程标准》英语新目标go for it！八年级上册第三单元主题为I`m more outgoing than my sisterSection A所呈现的是人物之间的特征比较，人物的个性比较。通过不同的比较，展现形容词比较级的一般用法，重读闭音节结尾的，辅音字母加y结尾的、多音节双音节形容加more的用法。句型A+比较级+than B。…as+形/副+as…。 be good at 等等。借用日常交际用语，层层铺垫，展开听说读写，培养自主学习的能力。一切的活动设计都围绕比较级展开。通过比较的方法，达到对人生完美境界的自我追求。教材内容从基本语言知识到语言综合运用层层递进，听说读写依次展开，以一种循序渐进的学习程序，引导学生在做事中有目的地学习语言。本单元的教学目标确定为：1、掌握词汇及形容词比较级的形式。2、掌握形容词比较级的一般用法，特殊用法。3、能用比较级的句型表达不同的或相同的人物、事物的特征。
Teaching aims（教学目标）
1．学会谈论个人外貌特点及性格。
2．能够运用比较级比较人与人的外貌和性格差别。
Language points（语言点）
1.要求掌握以下句式： I am more outgoing than my sister. Tina is longer than Tina
Sam has longer hair than Tom.
She also sings more loudly than Tara. 2．要求掌握以下词汇及短语：
outgoing, better, loudly, quietly, more loudly, play better than, both … and …
情感目标：A beautiful heart is more important than a beautiful face. Difficulties（难点）：用比较级比较人与人的性格和外貌差别时is 和has的正确运用。 Teaching steps（教学步骤）

Before class, the teacher will play Vocabulary preparation (教师利用英语比赛让学生快速进入学习英语氛围中来。)

(因本班是中途接班，学生语言能力较差，老师先利用游戏预习本课单词，引导鼓励学生用尽可能多的形容词，教师按照事先的分类一一写到黑板上)

T: Yes, that’s right! There are three pairs of twins. Listen and number the pairs of twins in the picture.
After listening, have Ss show their answers.
