Earthquake教学设计
设计总理念：
目前，我国高中英语课程改革逐步从“知识本位”转变为培养学生英语学科“核心素养”。因此，传统的填鸭式教学方式，以及教师在阅读教学中过分强调语言的实用性，已经不能满足提高学生核心素养的要求，需要老师和学生在课堂中加以配合改进。本文以人教版高中英语模块一第四单元earthquake为例，探讨通过对阅读文本的深度阅读，提高学生英语学科核心素养。本节课以课文为载体，帮助学生掌握语言知识，再通过感知，获取，分析，概括，理解，猜测，欣赏，创新等活动，培养学生的语言能力，思维品质，文化意识和学习能力，以提高学生的英语学科核心素养。 教材分析：
本课是根据人教版高中新课标高一英语必修1 Unit4 Earthquakes阅读部分“A Night the Earth Didn’t Sleep”而设计的一节课，课文主要讲述了1976年7月28日凌晨发生在河北省东北部唐山市的大地震,通过对震前征兆、地震发生和震后救援的具体描述，向我们再现了唐山大地震这场二十世纪人类遭受的最惨重的自然灾害。通过学习，学生能够了解更多关于地震的常识，面对突然来临的自然灾难，能够从容镇定，积极勇敢地面对并加强自我保护能力。 学情分析：
高中一年级的学生已经在初中阶段的英语学中,已经积累了一定的词汇基础,并掌握了一些简单的学习策略和技巧,具有初步的英语听说读写能力。但是，学生个性和英语水平差异大，因此教学设计要有梯度，由浅入深，注意层次性。 教学目标：
新时期高中英语课程目标将由综合语言运用能力转变为培养英语学科核心素养。为此根据课程目标新要求和学生已有的知识基础和认知能力，在仔细学习和分析教材的基础上，我确定了以下教学目标。 语言知识与能力：
能运用所学语言知识描述地震前兆、危害及震后援救. 思维品质与能力：
1.通过速读和细读，提升学生的阅读能力。
2.在速读和细读中，运用加工，分类，猜测信息等方式培养学生的 思维品质。
文化意识与学习能力：
1.欣赏与运用英语修辞手法，了解中西语言相同之处。 2.讨论与分享，运用所学提升学生的学习能力。 教学重点与难点： 重点：
1.培养学生在深度阅读过程中获取和处理信息的能力。 2.通过文本深度阅读，提升学生的英语学科素养。 难点：
1.学生利用所学知识谈论地震相关话题。
2.如何通过文本深度阅读，提升学生的英语学科素养。 教学过程：

Purpose : know the main idea and structure of the passage Careful reading
Part 1 Reading for classify the signs
Purpose : find and process information to develop students thinking capacity
Part2 Understanding the writer
What way did the writer use to tell us the damage of the earthquake ? What does “bricks covered the ground like the autumn leaves” imply ? Purpose : find and generalize information and understand the expression way the author used. Part 3
Q : Did tang shan people lose hope after earthquake ( find supporting information ) ?
Step 3 Appreciation of good language
Purpose :Understandsimilaritiesof Chinese and Western cultures--figure of speech, and enable students to make use of them in their composition. Step 4 Discussion and sharing
Three topics related to the passage for students to discuss and share. Purpose :
Develop students’cooperation spirit and the spirit of mutual aid. Sum up what they have learned and put them to use to develop their language ability and learning capacity Step 5Homework
Write a letter to tell people how to protect yourself in the earthquake . Purpose :
To supplement the contents of the passage and topics of discussion,help students to know some skills to protect themselves
in the earthquake
