 学习过程⑴什么是地震？ 由于地球在不断运动和变化，逐渐积累了巨大的能量，在地壳某些脆弱地带，造成岩层突然发生破裂，或者引发原有断层的错动，这就是地震。 ⑵什么是震级？ 震级是指地震的大小；是以地震仪测定的每次地震活动释放的能量多少来确定的。中国目前使用的震级标准，是国际上通用的里氏分级表，共分9个等级，在实际测量中，震级则是根据地震仪对地震波所作的记录计算出来的。地震愈大，震级的数字也愈大，震级每差一级，通过地震被释放的能量约差32倍。震级大的地震，释放的能量多；震级小的地震，释放的能量少。 ⑶什么是地震前兆？ 地震前兆指地震发生前出现的异常现象，岩体在地应力作用下，在应力应变逐渐积累、加强的过程中，会引起震源及附近物质发生如地震活动、地表的明显变化以及地磁、地电、重力等地球物理异常，地下水位、水化学、动物的异常行为等。人的感官能直接觉察到的地震异常现象称为地震的宏观异常。地震宏观异常的表现形式多样且复杂，异常的种类多达几百种，异常的现象多达几千种，大体可分为：地下水异常、生物异常、地声异常、地光异常、地震云、气象异常等。
