Teaching Reflection:
As the requirement of the New curriculum reform, we teachers should give the class back to the students. Though it is a bit difficult to carry out, I try my best to meet the need of the new requirement. As for this class, I have several thoughts based on the reactions of my students as well as my performance.
To begin with, we can never emphasize too much the importance of previewing. If the students make some preparations before class, they will not only have less difficulty in grasping the new words and understanding the passage, but also have better performance in class. Besides, as far as I’m concerned, the distribution of time in this class can be adjusted, I should speed up in the fast reading while spend more time in careful-reading and post-reading. The ability to sense the time needs improving. Moreover, communicating with the students and helping them in time, which is of great importance, is also beneficial to both students and the teacher. What’s more, it is a pity that more first aid skills can’t be showed due to the limited time. Maybe some of the words and phrases should be paid more attention to.Furthermore, the students show great interest in describing and play the story,especially the role-play. This kind of activities can be organized as frequently as possible in the future. Last but not the least, homework is very important to an effective class, it is a
good chance for the students to turn the input into output.
All in all, what the students have learnt in a class instead of how much the teacher have taught matters.
