Reading :First Aid for Burns Teaching aims:
(1). Knowledge aim: Learn first aid for burns and other common emergent injuries. Learn how to put a person in recovery position and rescue breathing.
(2). Skill and ability aim: Practice reading skills, such as skimming and reading for details.
(3). Emotional aim: Arouse students’ awareness of giving first aid on the victims in case of emergency.

Task : Find answers to the following questions. 1. What are the four functions of skin ? 2. What are the seven causes of burns?

4. What are the six steps of first aid treatment? Write them on the blackboard with key words. Step 4. Discussion
According to what is learned today, discuss and find the mistakes in the following treatment of burns .
1. Sam knocked over a kettle full of boiling water onto his legs. His legs became red, swollen and covered with blisters. Sam broke the blisters and poured icy water from the fridge onto the skin. 2. Mary's sleeve caught fire while she was cooking. Her arm looked terrible but it didn’t hurt. The skin was charred. Her husband took off her blouse and picked off bits of the blouse stuck to the
