教学目标
1、知识与能力目标:
1)能够听、说、读、写单词或词组:swim, speak English, cook, play basketball, play ping-pong;
2)能够在语境中正确运用五个单词或词组询问某人是否具备某种技能并作答;
3)能够综合运用本单元句型和核心词汇描述自己会和不会的事情。
2、情感态度、学习策略与文化意识目标:
1)能够进一步了解有中国特色的文娱活动形式;
2)能够乐于表达并和他人分享各自会和不会的事情。
2学情分析
本单元学习的主题是文娱活动,话题生动有趣、贴近生活,符合五年级学生的生活经验和认知特点。本课为Part B Let's learn,学生通过A部分的学习,已经能够在情景中运用句型What can you do? I can …以及部分表示文娱活动的词汇询问他人会做的事情并作答。在此基础上,通过B部分对话课的学习,学生已经能够初步理解并运用句型Can you …? Yes, I can. /No, I can’t.询问他人能否做某事并作答。因此,本课增加了更多的同一话题相关的新词汇,让学生能够运用这些词汇和句型完整地表达自己能做和不能做的事情。
3重点难点
教学重点:
五个表示课余文体活动单词或词组的意义理解、认读、拼写和运用。
教学难点:
1、部分单词或词组的认读和拼写,如:ping-pong, basketball等;
2、综合运用本单元句型和核心词汇描述自己会和不会的事情。
4教学过程
4.1第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Part B Let`s learn(本单元第五课时)
Greetings:
T: Nice too meet you, boys and girls. I’m your new English teacher today. And you can see my name on the screen. Can you read? Yes, my name’s Nancy. And I hope we can have a good time today. Now, let’s begin our class. Good morning, boys and girls.
活动2【导入】Guessing 
1) PPT presents some pictures.
2) Guess what teacher can do by using the sentence pattern: Can you …?
3) Teacher makes a conclusion about things he/she can do or not.
活动3【讲授】Learn ”swim”
1) Learn to sing a song.
T: You know I can sing songs, right? And I can sing English songs. Listen. “Can you sing, can you sing? Yes, I can.” Can you sing a little bit? Listen. “Can you draw, can you draw? Yes, I can.” Can you try? Yes, you can sing! Can you? Good! You can sing, too. Now, try to sing more. Listen. “Can you swim, can you swim? No, I can’t.” Who can try this time? Excellent! Let’s sing together. Wonderful! You are all good listeners!
2) Listen repeat.
T: Now, listen again. What can you hear? (播放降调:swim) Good! You got it! Swim! Can you repeat? Yes, you got it, too. This time, listen again. (播放升调:swim) Who can repeat? Good job!
3) Ask and answer: Can you swim?
活动4【讲授】Learn “play basketball”
1) Listen and repeat.
T: So, you can/can’t swim. What about basketball? (做动作:play basketball)Can you play basketball? Listen. (播放升降调:play basketball) Can you repeat? (做放降调手势:play basketball)
 
2) Ask and answer: Can you play basketball?
T: Can you play basketball? Can you swim? Oh, you can swim. You can play basketball, too. What about you?
活动5【讲授】Learn “play ping-pong”
1) Listen and repeat.
T: Wow, so many students can play basketball. You’re good at sports. Now, let’s listen carefully. It’s a kind of sports, too. (播放升降调:play ping-pong) Can you repeat?
 
2) Choose and say.
T: Good! Now, look! I have some pictures. Which one is for “play ping-pong”? Can you pick it out? Is he/she right? Good job! Boy/Girl, can you repeat again? Wonderful! Now, hold this picture. Let’s read after him/her.
活动6【活动】Can you play sports 
1) Say the pictures.
T: Boys and girls. We know picture, right? Now, can you say something about other pictures? Who can have a try?
2) Ask and answer:
T: Good! You know all these pictures. This time, do you want to know whether Nancy can do these sports or not? Who can ask me?(指板书:Can you …?) No, I can’t. / Yes, I can. I can play ping-pong/basketball, too. 
3) Work in pairs and make a dialogue:
    -Can you …?
    -(No, I can’t.)
    -(What can you do?) Can you …?
    -Yes, I can. I can …, too.
活动7【讲授】Learn “speak English”
1) Learn “speak English”
T: Wow! You did a good job! Big hands for ourselves! And I think your English is really good. Everybody here can speak English well. Listen. (播放升降调:speak English) Can you try this time? Can you speak English? Can you speak Chinese? (指板书:Yes, I can. I can ..., too.)
 
2) Say the picture and other people.
T: Now, look, can this boy speak English? (出示板书图片:speak English)Yes, he can speak English. What about your English teacher? Can she speak English? Can your Chinese teacher speak English? Can your father speak English? What about your mother? Can she speak English?
活动8【讲授】Learn “cook”
1) Listen and repeat.
T: Can your mother play basketball? Can she play ping-pong? Can she swim? Can she cook? Cook rice, noodles, and vegetables? Listen. (播放升降调:cook) Can you repeat?
 
2) Say the picture.

活动9【活动】Listen and 
1) Listen, repeat and spell.
T: Now, let’s listen and repeat again. (再次播放cook录音)Can you find the missing letters? (出示词卡:c__k) Yes, you are a good listener! (板书oo) Can you spell cook? Good!
This time, listen again and try to find the missing letter of this word, OK? (再次播放swim录音,并出示词卡:sw_m) Yes, clever boy! (板书i)Let’s spell together.
OK, now, let’s listen to another one. (再次播放speak English录音,并出示词卡:sp__k English) Who can try? You are right! (板书ea) Let’s spell. Don’t forget big letter “E”, OK?
Well, now, let’s make it a little more difficult. Listen. (再次播放play basketball录音,并出示词卡:pl__ basket____) Please try. Well done! (板书ay和ball)
And the last one. (再次播放play ping-pong录音,并出示词卡:play p_ng p_ng)Who can? Good job! (板书i, o和连字符)
 
2) Students match the words with the pictures.
活动10【讲授】What can/can’t the teacher do 
1) Students ask their teacher:
Can you ...?
2) Teacher finish the form on the blackboard and makes a conclusion about things he/she can do and can’t do.

活动11【练习】Write and 
1) Write what you can and can’t do in the form.
 
2) Exchange the papers and see what your partner can and can’t do. Then check the handwriting in pairs.

2) Look and say the pictures.
3) Read the text.
4) Read the whole picture book.
活动13【作业】
1. Make sentences with the words we learned and try to write them down.
 
2. Think about what you can or can’t do.
