一、教材分析
本课教学内容是人教PEP小学英语五年级上册U nit 4 What can you do? C部分中的 Story time,教学故事Rat and Snake。通过创设田鼠机智地逃脱被蛇吃掉的厄运这个真实的情景,在紧张的故事情节发展中复习巩固本单元核心词汇sing、dance、swim与句型What can you do? I can... . Can you...? Yes, I can / No, I can't. 教学围绕“蛇能否吃掉蛇”这条主线层层展开。本课故事图文并茂,趣味横生,难度中等,文中动物对话的语音语调也十分生动,可以大大提升学生学习的参与度。教师通过观察图片和师生互动帮助学生理解故事,并通过阅读故事激发英语学习兴趣,同时通过表演、创编获得英语学习的成功体验。这一故事教学的重点在于让学生理解故事,巩固本单元核心知识,并在教学中通过丰富的过程性评价帮助学生树立自信。 二、学情分析
五年级的学生已经积累了一定的语言词汇及句型,可以用英语进行简单的交际,初步建立了语用自信。本阶段的学生,学习语言的兴趣浓厚,活泼、好表达,教师应尽可能为学生创设轻松的氛围,引导并鼓励学生大胆模仿、积极尝试。 三、教学目标 知识目标:
1.能够阅读、理解故事;
2.能够复习巩固句型并在阅读中强化输出语言;What can you do? I can…Can you…? Yes, I can./No, I can't.
3.能够理解Here comes some tasty food.以及throw into的含义。 技能目标:
1.能在阅读过程中培养预测猜想、有感情朗读、及根据关键词复述故事等阅读能力;
2.能够表演故事,发展语言综合能力; 3.能够大胆运用、并尝试创编新故事并表演。 情感目标:
1.能体会到阅读英语故事的乐趣;
2.能在小组合作中共享知识,建立友谊,巩固发展语言能力; 3.鼓励学生积极运用语言交流,加强理解与创造,发展创新能力。 四、 教学方法:
情境教学法; 语言交际法; 合作学习法。 五、教学重点和难点
教学重点:使学生能够通过猜想、预测、观察及互动理解故事,巩固本单元核心词汇sing、dance、swim与句型What can you do? I
can... . Can you...? Yes, I can / No, I can't.
教学难点:复述,表演故事 六、教学过程
StepI、Warm-up 1.Find the words.
Use the magnify glass to find the words, such as“swim/dance/cook/sing a song...”

(设计意图:通过游戏和英文歌曲创建轻松愉悦的课堂氛围,激活学生旧知,让学生迅速进入上课状态,投入英语氛围,调动大脑大胆表达。由热身中的歌曲和游戏,巩固本单元核心词汇,为下文读故事做铺垫。)
StepII.Pre-reading 1.Riddle
T:It has long tail.It is bigger than the mouse. What’s this? S: It is a rat.

2.Lead-in:
Encourage Ss to imagine & predict the result of the story. T: One day, the snake and the rat are near the lake. The snake is very, very hungry. And then, the snake meets the rat. What will happen? Can you guess?
T: Today, we’ll read an interesting story about a snake and a rat. (板书课题 Snake and rat)
