《Try again, Hen! 》
课标要求
《英语课程标准》中要求三四年级的学生能在图片的帮助下,听懂和读懂简
单的小故事,并表达简单的情感和感觉。能根据录音模仿说英语并能做简单的角色表演。能看懂语言简单的英语动画片或程度教学节目。让学生通过图片来简单的描述图片内容,并感受故事所表达的情感和道理。
教材分析
本模块的课题是身边的家人,朋友。本单元的前一个课时介绍了我的朋友并学会了简单描述他/她的能力以及他/她的外貌。本课时在此基础上,展开了绘本故事的学习。学生能通过观察图片,描述故事中的主人公Hen和朋友Pig、sheep以及duck的外貌以及Hen经过挫折以后学会滑滑板的整个过程。本节课的重点是让学生学会复述故事、表演故事并感受到If at first you don’t succeed, try again and again.
学情分析
四年级的学生心智发展到了比较重视他人、朋友或同学的信息,以及对于他人的了解有一定的程度,谈论朋友这一话题对于他们的生活很贴近,有话可聊。四年级的孩子们更喜欢合作、表演和朗读。学生可以通过观察图片联想起故事中Hen掉进不同的地方时的情节。但是用英语表达需要教师通过问题引导和观察图片来对整个故事情节进行描述。学生的难点在于故事的复述和语句的流畅表达。
依据课标要求以及教材分析、学情分析的结果,我设置了故事《Try again. Hen! 》的教学目标。
教学目标
1、阅读并了解故事,准确找出关键词。
2、利用板书复述故事,体会Hen 学习滑滑板的整个过程中朋友们给与的鼓励以及她不断尝试并取得成功的经过
3、问题引领,感受和体验If at first you don’t succeed, try again and again.
教学重点
理解并复述故事。
教学难点
故事的复述,语句的流畅表达。
教学方法
情景交际法,任务型教学活动,PPT.
教学准备
PPT的准备,多媒体的调试。
设计意图
基于核心素养下的故事绘本教学现在是非常受关注的,本节课的目的在于培养孩子们在故事学习中感受故事的寓意和学会复述、表演、改编、续编故事。
教学流程
1、Warming-up
Teacher and students greet each other.
Teacher shows some pictures of her own students.
T: They can play basketball. They can play the guitar. What can you do ?
S:I play the piano S:I can play the ...
T: Wow, you can do so many things.But the first time you do it,you can’t do it well. Look...(播放孩子们第一次做的事情以及遇到的挫折,经过不断努力后,学会了这些事情) 【设计意图】
以孩子们最为感兴趣的体育活动和乐器活动导入,比较贴近孩子们的生活实际,询问孩子们第一次做这些事情时的场景,引入新课。 2、While-task procedure
(1) Introduce the leading character T: What animal is it? S: Hen .
T: Good! What does Hen look like? S1: Hen is big .
S2: Hen is beautiful. S3: Hen has beautiful hat.
T: You are clever.Hen has a new thing. Look, what is it? S: Skateboard .
Teacher shows the word :blackboard and say: board. S: Read the word :skateboard (2) Show the book
T: Now let’s learn the story of Hen. Look at the cover of the story. What can you see? S1: I can see a pig. S2: I can see a sheep. S3: I can see a duck. ...
T: Look at the big words, Let’s read it . S: Try again, Hen .
T: Look at the small words.It’s the writer of the book and the illustrator .
T: What are they doing? Do they play games or have a party?
S: play games. (3)Learn the story
Teacher shows the video. T: Do they play games or...
S1: They are learning skateboard.
T: Can Hen ride the skateboard at first? S: No.
T: Can Hen ride the skateboard at last? Let’s look , what happened?
Listen
T: Where is the Hen ?
S: She is in the water. T: Who does she meet ? S: Pig.
T: If you are the pig, what do you want to say ? S1: Come on. S2: Stand up . T: Listen
S: Try again,Hen . T: How is Hen now? S1: She is dirty. S2: She is sad. ……
T: If you are the Hen , will you go on or give up ? Why? S: Go on , I want to learn the skateboard.
T: Look, Hen rolls down the road again. Listen, what does she say ? Students follow the Hen .
Students learn the other two scenes in this way and then fill in the blanks
(4)Write the story
Students think about what will happen next and write the sentences (5)Retell the story
Teacher gives some lines and phrases to help students retell the
whole story.
Three minutes later teacher asks some students to retell the story . 【设计意图】
教师先出示主人公的图片,引导学生观察并分析图片,通过播放视频的方式让学生整体感知故事,再通过观察图片设置问题引发学生的思考和输出,更能激发孩子们的思考。通过感知故事进行故事的续写与复述,感受人物的内心以及学会鼓励和帮助朋友,学会挑战挫折。 3、Post-task activities
