教学目标
知识目标:
1、学生能听、说、读、写四会单词banana和meat, 并能在交际中灵活运用。
2、学生能熟练运用所学句型将人和动物的吃食习惯进行表达交流。

3、学生能正确朗读含有字母s, z, x, o的单词。
能力目标:
1、学生能在交际中灵活运用所学词汇。
2、学生能熟练运用所学句型将人和动物的吃食习惯进行表达交流。
3、学生能正确朗读单词,总结所含字母的发音规律。
情感目标:
通过学习动物的吃食习惯,了解动物和人类的生存环境都需要受到保护。保护动物,热爱生命。
 
2学情分析
本单元是关于生活在动物园里动物的学习。教材内容涉及到动物的外貌及体态特征,大小、胖瘦、长短等,动物的生活环境及他们的吃食起居。在上一课Lesson10 Where Do They Live?中,学生基本掌握了特殊疑问句的句型结构,在学习起What Do They Eat?来很容易理解。而且食物的学习中,学生对bananas, fish和grass都有了解,只有meat是第一次接触学习。语音部分的学习,是继续上一单元的辅音字母m, n, l, i后,s, z, x, o在单词中的发音及规律。小学三年级的学生活泼好动,他们喜欢新鲜、有趣的课堂,能在新颖的教学活动与游戏中积极参与,互动交流。
3重点难点
教学重点:
1、词汇banana和meat在句型-What do ...eat? -... eat...中的灵活运用。
2、语音s, z, x, o的发音规律。
教学难点:
运用本课所学的语言知识进行真实语境中的交流。

活动1【导入】Warm-up and review 
教师活动
1. Greet to Ss..
T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to see you.
Review the words of animals, verbs and food.
2. The teacher takes Ss to the forest to see the animals.
T: I like animals. What about you? Let’s go to the forest to see the animals. Come on.
The teacher shows the examples.
T: Ears, eyes, mouth, go, go, go!
T: What do you hear? What animal is it? Is it big? Can birds fly?
T: What do you see? Can you fly? What animal can fly?
T: What do you see? What colour are the apples? Are they yummy?
The teacher guides Ss to say.

1. Greet to the teacher.
Ss: Hello, Miss Zhou. Nice to see you, too.
2. Ss try to say the sentences about the pictures of the animals, verbs and food.
Ss: Let’s go.
Ss say some sentences.
Ss: Ears, eyes, mouth, go, go, go!
Ss: A bird. It’s small.Yes, birds can fly.
Ss: Fly. No, I can’t. Fish can’t fly, but fish can swim.
Ss: Apples. They are red. They are yummy.
Ss say some more sentences.

设计意图
教师创设情境,带领学生去森林里看动物。通过依次对看到或听到的动物、动词以及食物等词的句子描述,最终找到了所有动物。继续情境,森林之王老虎召集动物们参加晚宴,引出本课的主题: 他们吃什么?用听声音、看图片、做动作等方式,充分调动学生的积极性,体验参与的乐趣。

1. Help Ss learn “meat” and talk with the sentences: -What do ... eat?- ...eat ...
T: What do tigers eat? It’s meat. Tigers eat meat.
T writes “meat” on the blackboard. T shows the picture of meat and practice with Ss.
T: What animals eat meat, too?
T finds the animals and put them together with the tiger.
T: What do they eat?
Have a chant.
Tigers, tigers, what do they eat?
Tigers, tigers, tigers eat meat.
Wolves, wovles, what do they eat?
Wolves, wolves, wolves eat meat.
学生活动
1. Ss learn “meat” and talk with the sentences:  -What do ... eat?- ...eat ...
Ss: Meat.
Ss practice with the teacher.
Ss: Foxes eat meat.
   Wolves eat meat.
   I eat meat...
Ss: They eat meat.
Have a chant.
Tigers, tigers, what do they eat?
Tigers, tigers, tigers eat meat.
Wolves, wovles, what do they eat?
Wolves, wolves, wolves eat meat.
设计意图
将新授词汇与句型有机地结合,达到了词汇的有效学习,实现了词汇在句型中的反复操练与灵活运用。
What animals eat meat?问题的提出,发散了学生的英语思维,培养学生用英语思考的学习能力。
Chant的韵律朗朗上口,帮助学生加强记忆,培养英语语感,提高兴趣。

T: Do monkeys eat meat? What do they eat?
T writes “bananas” on the blackboard. T shows the picture of bananas and practice with Ss.
T: What animals eat bananas, too?
T asks Ss to find the animals and put them together with the monkey.
T: What do they eat?

请学生帮老师完成板书上动物们的分类,提高了学生的参与度,活跃了课堂气氛。
变换一般疑问句句型Do monkeys eat meat?加强新授内容的操练巩固,提高学生课上课下的学习能力。

T lets Ss ask and answer, put the animals on the right seats for meals.
T asks Ss to practice on Ss’ Ipads.
T checks their work on teacher’s Ipad and give the prize.

Ss ask and answer, put the animals on the right seats for meals.

设计意图
学生们用所学句型进行问答,运用平板睿课堂教学手段进行连线,将板书上其余的动物们依次入座。对于熊猫吃竹子,并非吃草,板书上出现拓展的内容,引导学生养成英语自主学习的能力。

巩固操练环节,加强学生对新知识的掌握与运用。
活动5【讲授】Letters and sounds
T asks Ss to read the words several times on Ss’ Ipads. Find the words with the same sound.
T shows Ss the chant once and asks Ss to chant the rest parts by themselves.

学生运用平板睿课堂中的拖拽功能,完成将相同因素的单词归类,实现了平板教学的可操作性与应用性。
Chant的英语语感游戏,会帮助学生形成英语语感,提高学习能力。
活动6【练习】Let‘s talk. 
Ss choose Task A or Task B to practice.
设计意图
设置不同能力的任务,旨在帮助提高学生英语语言的综合运用,表达输出。
活动7【作业】Let’s make friends with lovely animals.

引导学生关爱我们身边的动物,它们是人类的朋友。
