I.Teaching analysis
(1)Ss analysis
The Ss are of high level in our province, they are active in class and able to think and express freely in English. They do well in understanding literal meaning of a passage but are not quite used to transferring what they`ve learnt into practice. (2)Text analysis
1) Type, appearance and aim analysis
The text is a tourist guide with five parts each of which describes an aspect of Australia. It aims to
attract people to travel around Australia.
3) Language and skill analysis ①Language analysis
Based on its theme, text type and writing purpose, the passage has some expressions related to expressing ”introduction”, such as: Australia is the only country that is also a continent…; Australia is famous for its ,huge, open spaces…;
②Skill analysis
The text can be used as a symbol of introduction, thus, some skills about it can be learnt from it. (3)Teaching key & difficult point 1) Teaching key point
