The analysis of teaching materials
This period is chosen from Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?.The main topic of this unit is entertainment.The function of this unit is to teach students to talk about their preferences and learn to make plans.In the first period Section A 1a-2c,students have learned many different kinds of TV shows and how to talk about their preferences.In the second period, students will continue to review what they learned and learn a new grammar infinitives based on the first period.They have learned a lot about the use of to do sth, so it’s not strange for them.They will be interested in this period. The analysis of learning condition
Most of the students in my class are active,quick-minded and willing to show themselves. They are easy to accept new things around them.Topics like talking about films and television programs are closely connected with students' life experience. In order to let them enter the humanistic context as soon as possible and accurately understand the target language,our textbooks have provided rich and vivid corpus and pictures to stimulate students' life experience and interest in learning. Having completed the first period of Unit 5, they have mastered the relevant knowledge, vocabulary and functional sentences, such as the English names of movies and TV programs,talking about the sentences of hobbies and plans and describing the forms of films and television programs adjectives. There won't be too many obstacles in learning. Teaching aims: Knowledge aims:
①Vocabulary: joke; comedy. ②Sentences:
--What do you plan to watch tonight? --I plan to watch Days of Our Past. --What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? --You can learn some great jokes. --Why do you like watching the news?
--Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. --What do you think of talk shows?
--I don’t mind them./I can’t stand them!/I love watching them! ③Grammar:Learn to use the infinitives. Ability aims:
1. Students will be able to discuss their preferences. 2. Practice students’ reading and speaking skills. Emotional aims:
1.Ss will learn to share their preferences to each other. 2.Ss will learn to make plans for their future. Teaching important points:

Step 1 Warming up and review. ①Greet the students as usual;
② Game:Listen and guess the kind of TV show.(Review different kinds of TV shows.) Step 2 Discussion

②Why do you like watching them/it? Because I hope/expect to ...... ③What do you think of them/it?
I love them/it./I like them/it./I don't mind them/it./I don't like them/it./I can't stand them/it. (To review and lead in the new topic today.) Step 3 Grammar.
1.Show the students some sentences with to do.
2.Guide them to find the similarities of the sentences. (To lead in the new topic today.)
Step 4 Watch a micro-lesson
1.Ask the students to watch a micro-lesson. 2.Let them take notes on their handout. 3.Talk with their partners about the notes.
4.Summarize the use of infinitives by themselves.
Step 5 Exercise
Ask the students to take out their handout and finish the exercise. (To check what they learned in this lesson.) Step 6 Game
1.Each group gets a note about the functions of the infinitives.
2.Finish the sentences with to do.
3.Rules:The more right sentences, the better.The louder,the better;The more clearly,the better.

Step 7 Group work
1.Ask students to watch a short video to relax.
2.Each group chooses a group and a head of playmate group. 3.The head introduces his/her group.
4.Group members discuss which group is the best. 5.Group leaders vote for the best playmate group. 6.Elect the best playmate group. Homework
1.Review the use of infinitive and make a mind map by yourself; 2.Write your own summer vacation plan.
