I. Analysis of the Teaching Material
本课中心话题是“谈论个人的打算，及对某事物的看法意见”，具体涉及电视节目，时尚流行，以及学生围绕电视节目和时尚饰品谈论不同程度的喜好，并发表见解。语言技能和 语言知识集合都是围绕“喜好”这一中心话题设计的。 II. Teaching Aims and Demands (教学目标) 1. Knowledge objects（知识目标）：
Vocabulary: discussion; stand; happen; may; expect; joke; comedy. Target language:
Do you want to watch the news? Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
What do you plan to watch tonight? I plan to watch Days of Our Past. What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? You can learn some great jokes. Why do you like watching the news?
Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. What do you think of talk shows?
I don’t mind them./I can’t stand them!/I love watching them! 2. Ability objects（能力目标）：
1). Students will be able to discuss their preferences. 2). Practice students’ reading and speaking skills.
3. Moral object （情感目标）：Ss will learn to share their preferences to each other.. III. Teaching Key Points and difficulties（教学重难点） Key Points（重点）: Words and target language.
Difficulties（难点）: The usage of the infinitive(掌握动词不定式结构做动词的宾语这一语法知识；掌握后面接动词不定式做宾语的动词。) IV. Teaching Aids (教学用具) multimedia , PPT.

学习运用所学的知识来陈述自己的看法并且能简单谈论自己喜欢的流行文化，各类电视和电视节目的名称。

Step.1 Warming up and review. Ask and answer questions about the different shows. What does Jack think of talk shows? Why? He likes talk shows.

Step2. Fun Time
Watch a video and answer the questions 1.What’s the name of the movie? 2.What kind of movie is it? 3.What’s the movie about?
4.What do you think of it?/How do you like it?
Q1：The Wandering Earth Q2：Science fiction movie(Disaster movie) Q3：It’s about….此处让多名学生回答自己提前查阅的资料，掌握的内容。增强语言表达能力和提升对课外知识的掌握量。 Q4：I love it/ I don’t mind it... Step3.
Work on 2d Listening task and speaking task.
1.Learn new words.
2.Listen to Grace and Sarah ’s conversation. Then match the persons with their favorite shows.

3.Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.
T:While listening, you need to imitate the pronunciation and intonation.

Step4. Grammar
1.Watch a video of the infinitive.
2.Practice some questions of the infinitive and ask students to answer them.
eg. What kind of movies do you want to watch tonight?
S1: I want to watch…
What kind of movies do you plan to watch tonight?
S2: I plan to watch…
What kind of movies do you expect to watch tonight?
S3: I expect to watch…
Students need to know about the usage of the words “let” “help”
大屏幕出示常见的跟动词不定式做宾语的动词和同学们一起对答案。
【拓展】省略to 的不定式 有些动词后面跟动词不定式时应将不定式符号to省去。常见的动词有let, make, feel, help, watch, hear等。同时让学生通过此活动掌握更多的自己喜欢的电影名称。
Step 5 Work on 3a:Practice 1. Tell Ss to read the conversation in 3a and try to underline the infinitives. 2. students make their own conversations.

Work on 3b: Extend practice 1. Read the questions and understand them.
2. Answer the questions that are true for you.

2. Ask your partner questions and write the answers. 3. Report.
