本单元的中心话题是“天文学”，内容涉及太阳系、地球上生命的起源、宇宙大爆炸、月球探秘、黑洞效应等。Reading部分题材是说明文，主要内容是围绕地球上生命的起源展开的，是本单元的亮点，讲述了地球上生命的起源和生物进化的过程。 3、学情分析
这个单元由于涉及到天文学知识，文科班学生们可能对宇宙形成、地球演变、生物进化等方面的知识有部分了解，但是学生们可能对这方面的词汇不是很熟悉，有可能造成讨论和阅读障碍。 学习目标
1、了解地球上生命的起源和进化过程； 2、训练学生的快读、寻读、精读等阅读技巧；

1、通过fast reading 、careful reading部分习题，分析问题、解决问题，从而可以培养学生的阅读技能。
