Today, we will come to unit4 astronomy. Before that,let‟s look at a picture on the screen. Show the students a picture of a girl who is looking at the
sky. Have a free talk with students.Let students brainstorm the following question.

Show students a video and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the sky in a closer distance.
T:Now ,are you interested in astronomy? students show their great interest in it.
Step Ⅲ Pre-reading
The teacher says something about the definition of astronomy and astronomer and then ask them some questions.
Q: 1> If you were an astronomer ,what else would you like to know about the universe?
2> How the universe began? 3> How the life begin on the earth?
Most of the students want to know how life began on the earth. T: Of course, each religion and each culture has their own ideas about how life began. Now, I‟m going to tell you some legends about the origin of universe and life. (Pangu separates the sky from the earth) (Nuwa makes men from mud )(In Bible ,
peopele believe the world and the whole universe was created by God.)
T: Do you think so? However, the scientists have a different idea. They believe the universe began with a big bang. Let‟ s watch a video and try to know more about a big bang . Do you want know more information about it?
