一、教材分析
本模块以Sandstorms为话题,旨在让学生深入了解沙尘暴的起因和对我国乃至整个亚洲的危害,并通过以―沙尘暴‖和―环境保护‖为话题的各种任务或活动,让学生掌握与沙尘暴和环境有关的词汇,了解沙尘暴方面的知识。培养学生用英语谈论沙尘暴及环保的语言技能,同时提高学生的环保意识。
READING AND VOCABULARY合并为第二课时―阅读课‖。课文―Sandstorms in Asia‖属说明文体,介绍了沙尘暴的特点、世界沙尘暴重灾区和中国面临的沙尘暴和荒漠化问题。对于阅读课如何上,师生各有己见。但阅读的目的就是培养阅读策略,培养语感,特别是培养学生在阅读的过程中获取和处理信息的能力以及阅读思维能力。在这个过程中教师起着鼓励,启发,引导,帮助,监控,参与,反馈与评价的作用 二、学情分析
这节课在高一第一学期的下半学期,高一年级的学生已经具备熟悉了高中阶段基本的学习能力和思维能力,但是还需要继续巩固和提高。
三、教学资源与策略
本节课除外研版必修3教材,还通过互联网搜索了有关沙尘暴的一些资料和图片。 主要采用的教学策略有: 任务型阅读教学法和交际式教学法。
四、教学目标
1.Knowledge:
Enable students to get more information about sandstorms in the text and learn how to use it. Enable students to learn words and phrases in the context and how to use them.
2.Skills:
To train students' ability of summarizing.
To Train students' ability of understanding the vocabulary by learning in the real context.
To enable students to understand the text and the logic links and then get the information to answer the questions.
3.Cultural consciousness and feelings:
To learn the situation of the world environmental protection and increase their awareness of how to protect environment.
五、教学重难点
【教学重点】
1. Enable students to learn the structure by grasping main information of each paragraph.
2. Enable students to find and deal with the information in reading to improve students' abilities of analyzing and solving problems.
3. Enable students to use the knowledge learned in the class to make an interview. 【教学难点】

的环保为背景,运用自己制作的视频,给学生们一些环保的建议,引用3R’s 这个概念,让学生们思考如何从小事做起,让学生们产生社会责任感,真正的意识到到环保的重要性。
七、教学反思
本人在这节阅读课中基于英语学科的学科素养,从语言能力、文化品格、思维品质和学习能力四个方面对此阅读课进行设计,并做出以下尝试。
一、导入引起共情,激发学生的责任感:
课程开头运用视频导入话题,让学生形象的认识沙尘暴这一自然灾害,并意识到这种自然灾害非常严重,它就发生在我们身边,严重影响了我们的生活。通过这样的导入可以激发他们的共情并产生改变这种现状的责任感,激发他们的环保意识,从而能够积极的投入到课程学习中来。
二、通过标题,挖掘作者的写作意图
教材为什么会选择一篇这样的课文作为学习内容,我相信一定有编者的意图。例如,编者选择“in Asia”为什么不选择世界其他地方,文章中就提到中国北部甚者细化到北京,就是要告诉学生沙尘暴离我们不远,如果能了解灾害的原因和危害,加深学生对与环境保护的意识和责任感,无疑是造福本国,造福世界和造福人类的好事。
三、挖掘文章细节,深刻理解文章内容
在阅读过程中,注重对文章细节的深度挖掘。例如在文章的第二段描述沙尘暴的过程中为什么要引入Ren’s experience and fellings, 难道直接描述不好么。这是培养学生批判性阅读的好机会,通过对比,学生们会意识到在说明文中描述事物时,通过实例讲述会更具说服力。还有在第三段中对于沙尘暴产
