1. Get the students to talk about their favorite animals.
T: First, I have a question for you. Do you like animals? Ss: Yes./No. T: what animals do you like? Ss: I like... 2. Have a guessing game about animals.
T: Now, let’s have a guessing game about animals. Can you guess what the animal is according to the description. 3. Show about endangered animals.
T: I have a question for you. Can you often see these animals? Why? Ss: No!
T: We may be see the animals on TV, but not in our daily life. And even some of them are endangered. So, before the class, I ask you to search some information about endangered animals, are you ready to share with us? Which group would like to be the first one?
Step two: Pre-reading
Get the students to talk about why the animals are in danger of disappearing.
T: Now, can we summarize why the animals are in danger?
T: Because of too much hunting, food shortage, pollution and destruction of habitats.
