The Analysis of the Teaching Material
The topic of this unit is wildlife protection, and this is the fifth period of the class—speaking and writing. 
So we should lay particular emphasis on students’ speaking ability and writing ability. By studying this lesson,
students can improve their speaking and writing ability and learn more about wildlife protection.
3重点难点
Teaching Important Points 
1.Enable students to know about some endangered animals and the measures to protect them. 
2.Let students talk about their plan freely and correctly. 
Teaching Difficult Points 
1.Develop students’ speaking and writing ability. 
2.Enable students to talk and write in class correctly.

4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Speaking 
Step Ⅰ Lead-in (Speaking)
Have a free talk with students about endangered animals and discuss the following questions:
1)Can you list any endangered animals?
2)Why are they in danger?
Purpose: Arouse students’ interest in the topic and encourage them to talk.
活动2【活动】Discussion
Step Ⅱ Discussion (Pair & Group work)
Discuss the following question: What should we do to protect these endangered animals?
(Let students make a dialogue or make a report)
Purpose: By this activity, students can smooth their difficulties to express themselves in public. It’s a group activity which can improve students’ cooperative learning.
活动3【导入】Writing
Step Ⅲ Writing 
Write a letter to WWF based on what students have discussed, asking them to help save the endangered animals. 
Purpose: Train students’ writing ability and know more about writing a letter.
活动4【作业】Homework
1. Polish your own composition 
2.Read more about wildlife protection and prepare the next unit. 
3. Finish a proof reading about wildlife protection.
Purpose: Train students’ reading ability and self-learning ability.
