Step l. Warming Up
1.Watch a video about wildlife. 2.Greetings.
T:Good afternoon, boys and girls. Today I’ll take you to the wild to meet some animals.
Step 2. Lead in
1.Appreciate some beautiful pictures of wild animals and speak out their names. T:Can you tell me the names of the animals in English?
(Asian elephants, Golden Monkeys, Dolphins, pandas, Milu deers, Antelopes, Tigers,Leopards,Koalas ...They are all wild animals.) 2:Speaking
T:1.Can we see them often? No. Reasons?——1.They live in the wild.
2.They are in danger.(endangered animals)
2. Why are they in danger of disappearing? What problems are they facing? (show some pictures to help Ss)
Reasons:Pollution, climate change, habitats disappearing, over hunted, lack of food, ......
3.Who are to blame mostly for the situation?
Human beings. So we should do something to protect rather than hurt them. That’s what we’ll learn in today’s class:Wildlife Protection.
Step 3. Reading 1. Guessing
Guess the problems of these three wild animals.(Match the animals with the problems)

b.Why does looking after the rain forest help with wildlife protection?
Looking after the rain forest helps wildlife protection because it is where | wildlifelives. It also contains many medicines and drugs that we do not know. These drugsmay save lives.
Step 4:Prediction
The carpet flew home. As they landed, things began to disappear. Two minutes later everything was gone- the monkey, too. T: What will Daisy do next?

(The introduction of WWF: The world Wildlife Fund(WWF) was founded in the UK in 1961. It began as a way to deal with the environmental problems of Africa but soon became involved in other projects. The WWF has two aims: To protect and conserve endangered species
To try to find solutions to threats to the environment of the world for the benefit of people and nature.)
Step 5: Interview(pair work)
20 years later. Daisy makes great contributions to the wildlife protection and becomes a leader in the WWF. There is an interview between her and a reporter in Yinzhou Senior School.
