一、教学目标 1. 知识与能力目标:
(1)复习并学会使用be(not)supposed to ..., be(not)expected to ..., be polite/impolite to ..., should do...等句型表达中国的风俗习惯,包括餐桌礼仪、家规及外出注意事项;
(2)运用所学礼仪知识、句型、词汇进行写作练习。 2.过程与方法目标:
通过各种形式复习巩固本单元语法结构及语言知识,并能内化为自己的能力,用书面的形式表达出来。
3. 教学核心素养:
总结、阐述中国的餐桌礼仪,尊重不同的文化,养成良好的习惯。 二、教学重难点 1.教学重点:
(1)掌握本单元重点词汇和句型;
(2)让学生能够以书信的方式就中国的风俗礼仪给他人提出建议。 2.教学难点:提高学生的写作能力。

T: Do you like western food? Do you know about western table manners? Let’s watch a video about it. (After watching)
T: Table manners are different in different countries, right? But some of them are the same as Chinese customs. Can you tell me some of them?

T: Today we’ll learn sth. about Chinese customs. It’s the writing part of Unit 10 You’re supposed to shake hands.
Ⅱ. Lead in.
1. (show a picture of a big meal and some photos of my families)
T: I’m going to invite the families to have a big meal. Tina is also invited. She is a girl from USA and is coming to China on an exchange program. But where are they supposed to sit? Please discuss in groups and put the photos around the table.
Lead students to make a sentence: In China, the oldest people are supposed to sit on the most important seats.

Work on 3b. Write a letter to your pen pal to give him/her advice and suggestions on how to behave properly in China.
