·Through the study of this lesson, help the students understand the importance of learning from the failure or things that disappoint them. ·Try to keep positive attitude and never give up. Key points:

·The teacher should pay attention to the students’ reflection and encourage them to express their own ideas. Help them understand the true meaning of team effort. Teaching methods:

•Before going to today’s new lesson, let the students look at some pictures to know about the adjectives to show their feeling

Encourage the students to guess what the passage is about and what will happen from reading the title and the picture. While-reading Skimming
•Skim the passage and find out four elements of the story. •Divide the passage. Match the parts with the simple titles. •Number the events in corrects order, and check their answers. Detail reading
·Read Para. 1 and finish the task. --- What mistake did Peter make? --- What happened to Peter’s team? --- How did he feel?
--- Why did he have such feelings?
·Read Para. 2 and finish the task.
After reading the passage, then finish the mind map.
Ask the students whether they agree Peter’s father or not. Let students show their own opions. ·Read Para. 3 and finish the task.
Read it carefully and fill in the blanks. This part is that the teacher help the students to know how Peter deal with his problem. And his teammates’ reflection. After-reading
Peter’s problem has solved. The teacher will help the student comprehend the whole passage deeply. Discussion
