Step 1. Free talking
Show some pictures and let students talk about what can make they feel happy or unhappy which refers to the topic . At the same time, enable students to review the usage of “make”. Step 2. Revision
1. Lead the students to review the story of The Shirt of a Happy Man (part 1) by using the key clues - when ,where, what ,who ... Students can retell the story together according to these clues. 2. Let one group of students to present and act the story (part I )to show it directly and arouse interest in students’ literature acting. 3. Let students complete the form of the story (Part 1) to deepen the impression of its key points. After finishing the form ,ask students “Are you interested in the ending of the story ? Now today we’ll learn the happy man’s shirt (Part II )” Step 3. Presentation - Let’s fly our imagination.
1. Look at the possible endings to the story about the unhappy king. Do you think any of these is the right one? If so, which one?(Let students read them aloud and understand them )
A. The general cannot find a happy person and the king remains unhappy forever.
B. The general finds a happy person with power and money.
T : What can make you feel happy or unhappy ?
S1 : Playing with friends can make me feel happy .
S2 : Earning much money will make me feel happy.
S3 : Failing in the exam can make me feel unhappy. S4 :....
T: What are some other possible endings to the story? Discuss your ideas with your group.

2. What are some possible endings to the story ?(Give students 2 minutes to talk about different endings to the story in groups to guess or make up the endings of the story. Then find a leader to make a report about their choices.) 3. Pre--listening.
Work on 1c. Show students the picture of the story (Part II) and let them guess the characters and the content they talked about . ① Who are the two people? ② Where are they?

1. Listen and put the sentences in the right order. A. I heard you singing just now.
B. I have everything I want, and I don’t want what I can’t have. C. Two days passed.
D. He was eating with his hands and singing happily. E. Just as he was about to give up.
2. Listen carefully and answer the questions.
Before reading ,the teacher let students read the questions together and find out the key words which they should pay attention to while listening .
1) How long did it take the general to find the happy man? 2) What was the poor man doing on the street?
3) What made the poor man so happy even though he had no power, money or fame?
4) Do you think the general will return to the king with the poor man’s shirt? Why or why not?
3. Listen for the third time, then complete the conversation. (Each blank may have more than one word )

课后反思
优点:
1,通过让学生上台表演话剧复习Section A 内容,既复习了旧知识又锻炼了口语还培养了表演兴趣。
2,通过听前预测,听中排序,回答问题,听后复述完成练习,学生对故事来龙去脉了解透彻,为他们接下来表演话剧打下语言基础。
3,学生在最后根据听力改编完成故事结尾,学生的想象力及语言表达能力超出老师预期。 不足:
1, 最后原计划让学生根据所看视频画出自己所在小组对快乐定义的衬衫时,由于时间有限没能上课完成,只能留为家庭作业。
2, 板书设计环节在最后总结时应再次进行巩固。
