Analysis of the teaching material
 
Status and Function The topic of this unit is Customs.Students talk about customs and what they are supposed to do by using supposed to+infinitive and It is adj. to do sth .And this is the reading part of this unit,which provides students with reading practice using the target language.It can also help to train and improve the students` ability of reading comprehension and know something about foreign culture.
Learning objectives 1.Students practice using target vocabulary and language to talk about foreign customs.
2.Students can read,take notes,summarize the main idea and review the passage. Explain and pay close attention to the key words and phrases.
3.Students get to know some table manners in France and compare that with table manners in China.
4.Students know that different countries have different cultures,develop 
students` cross-cultural awareness.

Careful reading环节首先细读第一段回答三个问题,以掌握第一段的内容。并设置开放问题,询问学生若有机会作为寄宿家庭,会做什么?以给学生语言输出的机会和培养善良、热心、乐于助人的品质。
 
学生细读第二段:
1.以make some notes的方式提取和梳理信息,完成表格,了解法国餐桌礼仪中不该做和该做的事情。
表格中最后一个空无法直接从原文中提取答案,因而鼓励学生预测并观看一个小视频来验证预测并获得答案。
2.鼓励学生将第二段中的信息内化成自己的知识,并勇敢表达出来,以达到复习、掌握和对目标语言进行操练的目的。

——2016年威海市初中英语优质课教学反思
威海市第八中学 李沁益
2016年是值得我铭记的一年。初春时非常荣幸地获得了讲区优质课的机会,而初秋时节又获得了参评市级优质课的资格。从最初的惊讶无措、到紧张备课、试讲打磨、实地讲课,初讲优质课的我逐一经历着复杂的情绪体验和心理变化,虽然有过辛苦和难熬但也收获了自身的蜕变成长和温暖的团队力量。
要感谢的人有很多,感谢教研组和学校的大力支持,反复听课、同研打磨;感谢教研员老师的评课和指导;感谢每个我认识的人对我的支持和鼓励......
而经历了优质课的打磨和学习后,能诉说的感悟也不少,在此对自己的教学和听课反思如下:
1.立足课型,固定模式创新意。
新课改时至今日,每单元的几个课型的授课模式基本已形成定局,而作为一节优质课要能在固定的课型模式下发掘出新意,打造出亮点。比如这个单元的话题是customs,有浓厚的文化色彩,因而在关注了阅读文本本身的阅读和分析后,要对其中的文化知识进行点拨。因而结合大家印象中的“浪漫国度”“法国大餐”等标签,进行读后延伸环节,学习实践刀叉的使用,并想象自己是一名带外国旅游团的导游,到了就餐时间,为外国游客们讲解一下中国的餐桌礼仪。
根据课堂反馈来看,应该说学生对动手操作的环节还是比较感兴趣的,这里也似乎是整节课学生最为活跃的环节,因此适当的将学习内容与实践相结合,让学生体会到所学知识的意义,今儿体会所学学科的重要性和必要性。
2.问题设置,激发潜力见功力。
除去教师个人素质外,课堂学习任务、问题的设置特别能反映一个老师的教学能力和水平。在我准备这节听说课的过程中,导入问题、衔接语、听后任务、合作任务等便经过的反复的讨论和修改,但基于讲课是的实情来看,学生并没有特别踊跃的发言,因而我认为很多问题的设置上还是有所欠缺的,或许是没有提起学生的兴趣,或许是难度没有把控好,以至于限制了学生的施展。其实同样的一篇文章,根据老师对于课文的挖掘和延伸程度的不同,学生的收获和提高自然也不尽相同。若问题过于简单,会导致引不起学生的兴趣和重视,而学生所学也是收效甚微;若问题过于开放过于抽象和困难,又会导致学生们漫无目的、无的放矢。回想自己这节课最开始的快读环节设置成了判断正误环节,目的是以较低的难度让学生快速掌握文章的主旨大意,但课堂反馈差强人意,后来改成了连线搭配主旨后,效果就好一些了。
3.掌控课堂,亲和感召齐发力。
纵观这几天的优质课,除了课本身的设计凝结了各校老师的智慧,绽放出精彩之外,还有一处体现“优质”的便是老师的素质和课堂的掌控。结合教研员老师的评课和听课老师的反馈来看,一节好课除了要把握住课型、有亮点外还在于老师要既有亲和力又有感召力。亲和力拉近了陌生的老师和学生,而感召力则带动和唤醒了学生的思维和智慧!这既是自身的素质所决定,也是不断的积淀所使然。找对方向,完善自己,不断前进。
回顾这一阶段的优质课活动,感慨良多。除了道不尽的感谢与感恩,更多的还是一种经历和反思:作为老师,不论何时,都应多学习多借鉴,做学习的思考者、生活的有心人。教快乐的学生,做幸福的老师。Maybe I`m not the best,but I`m trying my best.
