    (1)、 Enable the students master the following new words and phrases: run, fast, high, far, winner…
    (2)、 Let the students master the imperative sentences: Can you … (run fast)?
            Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.
2. Ability objects:
    (1)、Students can use the new sentence ask and answer.
    (2)、Use “can” ask others abilities, and describe the abilities of ourselves.
3. Emotional objects:
           Let students know more about the sports.

4.1第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Step 1. Warm-up
Say Hello to students.
Take out the cards of basketball and rope skip … teacher do the actions of play basketball and skip. Lead students say: “you can play basketball.” “You can’t skip” Teacher do the action of running, lead students say: “you can run”, then tell students: “I can run fast. Can you run fast?”
Write the tittles of Module5 Unit1 Can you run fast?
Purpose: The purpose of this step is to arouse the Ss’ interest of study, and at the same time the topic of this lesson is led naturally.
活动2【讲授】Step 2. Presentation
Activity1: learn the new words and new sentences
Take out the new word cards and show the picture of run fast at the same time. Let students read the new word “fast”, students need to do the actions of fast while reading. Then I will do the action of “fast”, students need to say it out.
According to picture showed, I will ask students: “Can you run fast? ”. Lead students answer: “Yes, I can.  No, I can’t. ”.
Learn the other words and the new sentences “Can you...?  Yes, I can.  No, I can’t” in this way.
Activity2: listen to the tape
Our friends Amy, Damming, Ling ling, and Sam will have competitions, listen to the tape and find out: “In each competition, who is the winner?” 
Let students listen for three times. For the first time, just listening. For the second time, find the answers of these questions. For the third time, check answers together.
Activity3:teach the meaning of text
  Ask students open book, invite students try to translate the text sentence by sentence.
When students finish the task, ask them circle the main sentences in this text. “Can you...?   Yes, I can/ No, I can’t.”
Then ask students read the text after the tape, and read in roles. Make sure their pronunciation correctly. And ask several groups to act the dialogues out with the gesture. To see which group do the best.
Purpose: The goal of this design is to present the new words and sentences patterns through the tasks. It makes Ss improve their positive attitude of study, and master the knowledge actively. What’s more, let Ss get further understanding of the dialogues. The most important is to let them master how to use imperative sentences.
活动3【活动】Step3. Consolidation
Game1: to be a better reporter
Divide the whole class into 6 groups, everyone have a chance to be a reporter,. When the Microphone is in your hands, then you’re a reporter. You need ask your group members: “Can you...(jump high...)?” .
When you finish you task, you should give the Microphone to others.
Each group recommend a reporter have a competition, to see who is the better reporter.
Game2: Bomb game
Show some pictures, If there is no bomb, students need read the sentence out. But if there is a bomb under the picture, students need keep be quite, not to say anything. If you say something, then you lose, we will throw bomb to you.
Sing a song
Teach an English song
Purpose: Through these activities, student can master the new words and imperative sentences quickly while playing.
活动4【讲授】Step4. Conclusion
    What have you learnt in this class?Lead students think and make a conclusion by themselves.
活动5【作业】Step5. Homework
Let students make a survey.
Use the new sentences and phrases ask their family members or friends what they can do.
Purpose: During make a survey, Ss can master the main sentences and improve the Ss’ ability of speak.
