【教学内容】
In Munich, Germany, people like the slow life. The children usually go to school on foot. They live near their schools.
In Alaska, USA, it snows a lot. Some kids go to school by sled. It’s fast. There are many mountains and rivers in Jiangxi, China. Some children go to school by ferry. A river is between their homes and school, but there is no bridge.
Papa Westray is a small island in Scotland, UK. The children study on another island. They go to school by ferry. But in 2009, they went to school by plane because the ferry didn’t work.
【教学目标】 1. 语言能力
(1)根据实际情况表达自己的上学方式,激活背景知识、储备词汇。 (2)能够正确表达不同地区的上学方式。 2. 学习能力
(1)通过拼图阅读进行各种阅读活动,提高学生的阅读能力。 (2)根据关键词,复述文本内容。
(3)综合运用语言表达在实际生活中的出行方式及原因。 3. 思维品质
通过拼图阅读合作分析问题、解决问题,培养合作意识和分享交流的品质。 4. 文化意识
(1)对不同出行方式提出建议,强化安全意识。 (2)不同地区根据实际情况选择合适的出行方式。
【学情分析】
经过三年多的英语学习,六年级的学生已经积累了一定的英语基础知识,同时也具备了基本的阅读能力。大部分学生对英语学习仍保持浓厚的兴趣,有较强的自主学习能力和合作学习能力,课堂上能积极参与各种英语活动,与同学团结协作,相互交流。但有部分学生基础较薄弱,难以参与到某些活动中,在教学过程中要尽量提高他们对于英语学习的兴趣,让他们融入到课堂中,掌握良好的学习方法。
【教材分析】
本课是PEP小学英语六年级上册第二单元Read and write的内容。本单元的话题是交通方式,在Read and write 部分,课本针对交通方式进行了拓展阅读,介绍了包括中国江西在内的世界上四个不同地方学生上学的交通方式。课本原文对各地区的介绍详细程度不同,教学过程中将文本进行了一定的扩充,让文本的各部分内容更均衡,并在此基础上进行拼图阅读。
【教学重难点】 1. 教学重点
(1)了解不同地区的孩子因地制宜选择不同的上学方式。 (2)理解文本,根据关键词,复述文本内容。 2. 教学难点
(1)国家名、地名的认读;
(2)综合文本信息,说明不同地区孩子上学方式的原因。
【教学过程】 StepⅠ Pre-reading I say, you say.

(设计意图:通过介绍自己,拉近与学生的距离,了解学生的基本语言能力情况,并引出本节课的话题。)
StepⅡ While-reading (Jigsaw reading) 1. Read in home groups.
Read one part of the passage and discuss in home groups to find the topic words.. (设计意图:以四人为一组,形成原始组,原始组内四名成员阅读不同的文本,讨论共同点,找出主题词。)
2. Read in expert groups.
Students read in expert groups to learn one part of the passage and finish two tasks. Task 1: Choose the right picture. Task 2: Fill in the chart.
(设计意图:拥有相同文本的学生形成八人一组的专家组,合作学习:为文本选择对应的图片;完成表格。在共同完成任务的过程中,解决生词,理解文本,提高合作交流能力。)
3. Read in home groups. (1)Stick and share.
(设计意图:学生返回原始组,组员选择相应的图片贴在卡片上,并分享自己的信息和学习成果。)
(2)Let's check
Check the answers together and give suggestions.
(设计意图:核对答案,全班范围内展示学习成果,学生在这一过程中进一步了解其他部分的信息,从一个片段的学习过渡到整篇文章的学习。让学生将上学方式贴在黑板上正确的位置,并使用核心语言进行表达,为复述做好铺垫。为不同的出行方式提出建议,强化安全意识。)
(3)Name the passage.
Work in groups to stick the different parts on a piece of paper and write a title for the passage.
(设计意图:将分散的文本拼成完整的文章,让学生进一步综合所有信息,提炼合适的标题。)
(4)Listen and read.
Students listen to the recording and read after it. Pay attention to the pronunciation, intonation , pause and the liaison ( in Alaska, it snows a lot ).
(设计意图:通读全文,模仿正确的语音、语调,注意连读这一语言现象。)
(5)Retell.
Students retell the passage with the key words on the blackboard in groups of four.
(设计意图:以四人小组为单位,选择自己喜欢的方式,根据黑板中的关键词复述文章,内化并输出语言。)
Step Ⅲ Post-reading 1. Let’s say.
Students talk about the way to go to school that they like best and give reasons. (设计意图:运用所学语言内容,表达自己喜欢的上学方式并说明原因。)
2. Let’s write
Write a traveling plan about a place that you want to visit.
(设计意图:根据实际情况选择生活中的出行方式,提高综合语言运用能力。)
Step Ⅳ Homework
1. Read the passage and share the different ways to go to school with your parents. 2. Write some suggestions for your friends to go to school. (设计意图:在生活中运用和分享所学的知识。)
