Teaching Objectives 1. Knowledge objective: To learn the grammar of the infinitive. Make
sure the Ss know its functions and meanings, tense and voice. 2. Ability objective: To let the Ss use the infinitive to make sentences and write notes or passages.
3. Moral objective: To teach Ss to use English properly and politely, and give others suggestions with the infinitive.

Teaching Procedure: Activity One:
Free talk: Neha and Donna have being teaching in our school for almost one year, but do you know what they prepared for teaching? Before coming to China:
Neha: My job is to help the Ss improve English. I want to experience more! My parents ask me to learn Chinese before going to China. Donna: To teach in China makes me excited. I need find some ways to teach.
I must learn Chinese culture to avoid mistakes. T: Have you paid attention to the underlined words? Sentence 1: “to + do” serves as a predicative Sentence 2: “to +do” serves as an object

Activity Two: Discover and Summarize
1. Function and meaning of the infinitive look at the six sentences and tell us what “to +do” serves in each sentence.

Note 1: 1、单个不定式作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
2、若不定式太长,往往用it作形式主语,不定式置后。 I want to join in students’ activity.
