人教版选修七unit 2 Robots单元核心话题是机器人,阅读文章以Claire对机器人Tony情感的变化为主线涉及到很多关于人物情感的词汇,除了形容词以外,也涉及到人物情感有关的名词,动词等。学生对一些简单的情感词汇已有涉猎如happy, excited, relaxed, worried etc. 如何理解并且运用本单元的情感新词如embarrassed, alarmed, envied etc 是关键问题. 在学习的过程中, 大多数学生只能记住其中文含义,对其意义和运用仍然非常模糊。因此,基于本单元话题Robots的基础上,通过回归课文,词汇分类,探究词汇用法,描述影片人物情感,拓展话题“翻译机器人”的发展,将词汇融入阅读中,引导学生辩证地对待机器人和人工智能。这是一节词汇“运用”课,旨在帮助学生利用所学词汇, 在体验中获得“使用”的乐趣。
教学理念及思路
语言学家吕叔湘先生指出:“词语要嵌在上下文里头才有生命,才容易记住,才知道用法。”词汇在语言中不是孤立存在的,它只是在具体的句子中才有意义。根据英语学习的特点,教师应该坚持“词不离句,句不离文”的原则,有针对性地把词汇放到特定的语境中讲解。同时,要引导学生把词和句子、语篇结合起来,在具体语境中去理解词的意义,掌握词的用法。因此,如果词汇仅靠教师的讲解和学生被动记忆,往往导致学生缺乏用英语表达真情实感的能力。鉴于此,本课的思路是:以单元话题Robots 为基础,以语境运用为核心,探究词汇用法,利用所学词汇拓展单元话题,基于英语学科四大核心素养的要求,实现词汇的形式、意义和用法的有机结合。
教学目标 知识目标 1. Learn the usages of some key words and expressions: alarmed, embarrassed, elegant, ridiculous, awful, envy, desire, declare, leave alone etc.
2. Learn how to use key words to express one’s feelings or describe something.
能力目标 Improve the comprehensive ability of words for feelings in speaking and reading.
情感态度目标 1. Develop the abilities of describing the feelings of someone.
2. Learn the concept: we should treat the matter objectively, because every coin has two sides.
