学情分析
大部分学生通过小学一至四年级的英语学习有了良好的英语基础,学生整体语言感觉良好, 所以本节课句型结构难度不大,由于本课的阅读材料中既有对季节的陈述,又有机器人在谈论自己对不同季节的喜好,文本结构的编排上不太易于让学生理解,因此,我采用多样化的教学手段将听、说、玩、演溶于一体,激发学生学习英语的兴趣和愿望,使学生通过合作学习体验成就感从而树立自信心,发展自主学习的能力进而形成 良好的英语阅读理解的能力。
2重点难点
学生能熟练运用目标语言与他人进行交际活动,与他人谈论有关季节的信息内容,以及表达自己最喜爱的季节及原因。在听说读写技能上有所提高,同时教学中让学生在玩中学,学中玩,寓教于乐。让学生能把所学内容联系到实际,在真实的情景中使用英语。

通过一节课的教学学生能就四个季节分别从不同的天气、能看到的景色、能穿的服饰,能从事的活动用自己的话来陈述, 能用I like…because…核心句型来表达自己最喜欢的季节并阐述原因。教会学生如何根据关键词句来理解文章,如何利用上下文来获取特定的信息,使得学生在老师设计的阅读活动中学生自然而然的习得了阅读方法。

活动1【导入】Warm up
I. Warmer
1. Chant the four seasons.
2.Sing the song: What’s your favorite season. Students look at screen and sing the song with music.
活动2【讲授】Reading procedures
II. Pre-reading
Review the four seasons.
Spring: Use the sound of the bird singing.
Summer: Give a riddle. let Ss read and guess what season it is.
Autumn: Show a picture of the autumn and ask students try to describe it.
Winter: Listen to the Christmas song .
(Aims: Use the sound and pictures to help students to enjoy the beauty of the different seasons).
Then tell Ss:  All the four seasons are very wonderful, which season do you like best? Then have a free talk with them.
 (Aims: Students can use their own words to express their thoughts, that can be give them some confidence.)
Let’s read: show some key words and phrases on PPT, when they see them, shout it quickly.  
(Aims: Through the activities , review the key words and sentences patterns we learned)
III. While-reading
1.  Watch a video about the south gate of Xi’an on the Spring Festival Gala. Then tell Ss our old friend want to visit Xi’an , but he doesn’t know which season is the best time to come.
  (Aims: enjoy the beauty of Xi’an, create a real situation for the things behind .)
2. Introduce the four seasons one by one, learn the sentences in the green box.
(Aims: It’s easy to master the sentences, but in this way we can reduce the difficulty of reading.)
3.  Detailed-reading.
(1) Read quickly and silently by themselves, judge the sentences true or false.
(2) Listen and repeat.  
   (3)Explain the difficult points. Use some pictures to help Ss understand the the sentences structures “What a____ _____! And” What_____ _______!”
(Aims: Help Ss do some detailed-reading, understand the sentences and some words better, at this time ,train Ss’ reading skills.)
IV. Post-reading.
1. Talk to Robin.
Pair work. Use the clues on the blackboard and retell the four seasons in pairs. Then they can report the result to Robin .
(Aims: Through this activity, Ss can get and use the sentences freely, it can help them to promote their speaking ability.)
 
活动3【活动】Write a peom
Write a peom about your favorite season, Eg:
   I like spring best.
  Spring is green, spring is rainy.
  There are green trees.
  It's so nice to fly a kite.
 Spring, spring, I love you!
活动4【作业】Homework
 
1.Listen and read the passage on P19.
2. Try to talk about “Seasons in Xi’an”  with your parents.
3. Read the poem and write poems about other seasons.
