【教学目标】
1. 能够听说认读词组“pen pal, doing kung fu, jasmine”等,以及句型“What are ______’s hobbies? He/ She likes v+ing.”
2. 能够在图片、视频和教师的帮助下理解对话,根据句子重音、连读、声调等朗读对话,并能进行角色扮演。能够所学句型谈论真实生活中的好友、同学的爱好及个人信息,培养综合语言表达能力。 3. 初步了解New Zealand这个国家的地理位置、大致风貌以及中国民歌Jasmine Flower. 【学情分析】
本课内容以小学六年级学生为教学对象。本单元主要学习有关人物兴趣爱好的单词,这些单词的后缀与五下Unit 5学习过的现在进行时中的现在分词(v+ing)有一定的相似性,所以学生对单词的发音不会陌生。但这些单词作为“What are ______’s hobbies?”的答句的用法学生还是第一次接触。因此教学时要充分利用谈论笔友这一语境,帮助学生充分理解词汇及句型的正确语义及语用。 【重点难点】
教学重点:听、说、认读“What are ______’s hobbies? He/ She likes v+ing.”并能理解对话。能够运用此句型描述朋友的兴趣爱好。 教学难点:能够正确运用“He/ She likes v+ing.”的结构描述朋友的爱好以及其他相关信息。 【教学过程】
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Enjoy and say
T: I’m your old friend. Our old friend Zhang Peng has a video about his friends at school. What do they often do together? Let’s watch their happy time together! Phrases: play games, dance, speak English , do kung fu… 2. Free talk
T: Who’s your friend at school? What’s his/ her name? How old is he/she? What’s he/ she like? „
Step 2: Presentation and practice
1. Present “pen pal”
T: You have many friends at school. You can play and share together. But there are some special friends: They live in different places. How can they make friends? S: They write letters/ send emails/…
T:They make friends by letters, emails and even on the website. These friends we call them: Pen pal.
2. Talk about Zhang Peng’s hobbies (1) Listen and complete the form
T: Zhang Peng wants to make a pen pal on the pen pal website. How to make a pen pal? We should sign up, first. Look! Zhang Peng is typing:
(Play the tape: I am Zhang Peng. I’m 13 years old. I’m from China, …) (2) Present “hobbies”
T: Look, Zhang Peng is 13 years old. He lives in… And these are his “hobbies”. Follow to read! S: (read)
(T show the pics of Zhang) T: Zhang likes to …?
S: sing, do kung fu, read stories. T: So, singing is his hobby. And… S: Doing kung fu, reading stories.
