1. Warming-up
Let students read some news report and then use v-ing form and v-ed form to rewrite

2. Review: 句型转换(分词作状语)

分词作状语,______是问题。 谓语与分词,共有____主语。 主语找出后,再来判关系。 主动用______ , 被动用______。 独立主格为特例,时刻要牢记
Step II Presentation (Grammar)
1. Give students some examples of absolute construction and let students find the difference between the former sentences.

2. Summarize the definition of absolute structure: 独立主格结构不依赖主句相对独立,
它有自己的逻辑主语,并且其要用代词的_____格,它是一种_______, 不是一个句子,不需要用谓语动词,形式上和主句用逗号隔开。
3. Give some exampls to summarize独立主格的功能:独立主格结构主要用于描绘性文字中,多用于书面语,其作用相当于一个状语从句或并列句,常用来表示谓语动词的____、_____、_____、行为方式或_____等。
(注意:表示时间、条件或原因时,相当于一个状语从句,一般放在______; 表伴随状况或补充说明时,相当于一个并列句,通常放于______。)
4. Group work
Divide the whole class into four groups and then let then discuss the structure of absolute construction, and then let them to answer
