Unit 7 Topic1 Section C阅读课教学设计
一、教学设计思路
本课是一堂阅读课,主要展示的是读中部分。葛炳芳专家曾说:“阅读理解是一种活用语言的素质”。中学英语阅读教学的目的则是为了培养阅读策略和语感,并培养学生在阅读过程中获取和处理信息的能力。我们贯穿阅读课堂始终的要素,则是内容、思维和语言的有机整合,我们要让学生从阅读内容到阅读素养。因此,本节课不仅仅关注文本内容,还要让学生去感悟语言的魅力,进而上升到读后的思考,既发展了语言水平,提高阅读能力,又提升了阅读素养。
本阅读文本是一篇回信。首先,为了让学生清晰明了作者为什么要写这封回信,我在课前引入环节通过写信人的口吻来介绍了背景,让学生在具体的语境中去阅读,降低了阅读的难度。同时,也让学生去感知语境下作者写这封回信的心情。其次,在读前带领学生复习了一封邀请函中要具备的基本要求;读前训练学生根据图片内容预测所读的文本内容,提高阅读兴趣,发展学生的思维品质。再次,从英语学科核心素养的角度来看,在读后让学生去从一句话提炼出我们要肩负的责任,通过写小纸条贴在世界地图上,让学生去感悟不管我们来自哪里,不管哪里需要帮助,就会有人去帮助他们。我们要让世界充满爱,爱让世界转起来。所以,这节课既提高了学生的语言能力,也培养和发展了学生的思维品质和文化意识。
对应英语课程标准阅读技能的三至五级标准,本节课读前活动激发兴趣,激活相关信息,明确阅读话题;读中通过略读、寻读、细读和总结来获取文本信息,理解所读文本;读后在进一步理解所学语言的基础上发表自己的观点。让学生学会读后思考,帮助他们逐步建立正确、积极的生活态度和价值观。
二、教学背景Background information
Students:26 students from Class 18 Junior 2 Material: Unit 7, Project English Type of lesson: Reading Lesson duration: 40 mins Date: Jun 23, 2018
Aids: textbook, blackboard, chalks, a map, multi-media
三、教学重难点
Focal points: Read the letter and get the information from the letter and tell what we should do to help the children.
Difficult points:
Students can talk about what they should do to help the children who need help.
四、教学目标 Learning Objectives
By the end of this class, we are able to 1. know what we must tell in an invitation.
2. find out some information about Craig and to know how he helped the children by reading the letter.
3.tell what we should do to help the children who are in need.
五、教学过程Procedures and Time Allotment
Stage 1: Lead-in (2 minutes)
Teacher ask one student to be Kangkang, and he introduces the background of the letter. (Purpose: To let Ss know why Kangkang received such a letter )
Stage 2: Pre-reading (4 minutes)
Read the invitation and go over the structure of an invitation.
(Purpose: to improve students’ ability of thinking after reading and try to encourage them to express their thoughts)
Stage 3: While-reading (20 minutes)
Step 1: Finding out who wrote this letter and if Craig can go to the food festival. Individual work: students read quickly to find out the information. (Purpose: to find out some easy information.)
Step 2: Students read for the main idea of each paragraph.
1. Students read the letter and find out the key words or sentences to express the main idea of each paragraph.
(Purpose 1: to improve students’ ability to find out the key words or sentences to express the main idea of each paragraph.)
(Purpose 2: to know the main part of this letter.)
2. Students read the second and the third paragraphs for some details.
(Purpose: to improve students’ ability to get the specific information we needed.)
3. Teacher show Ss some other questions and let them to think about them and express their ideas. (Purpose: to improve students’ ability of thinking after reading and try to encourage them to express their thoughts)
Stage 4: Post-reading (12 minutes)
Step 1: Ask Ss which sentence they like best in the letter. And tell the reason. Teacher make a structure on the blackboard to lead them understand the sentence. (Purpose: to let Ss think after reading and express their ideas.)
Step 2: Students are guided to write what they will do for the children who need help. And stick their paper on the map.
Stage 5: Conclusion (2 minutes)
The world become more and more beautiful because of our love. Love makes our world go round.
(Purpose: to guide the students to have a better understanding of helping others and try their
best to show the love to the world.)

优点:

2. 读前带领学生复习了一封邀请函中要具备的基本要求,还训练学生根据图片内容预测所读的文本内容,提高阅读兴趣,发展学生的思维品质。
3. 从英语学科核心素养的角度来看,这节课既提高了学生的语言能力,也培养和发展了学生的思维品质和文化意识。
4. 对应英语课程标准阅读技能的三至五级标准,本节课读前活动激发兴趣,激活相关信息,明确阅读话题;读中通过略读、寻读、细读和总结来获取文本信息,理解所读文本;读后在进一步理解所学语言的基础上发表自己的观点,帮助学生逐步建立正确、积极的人生观和价值观。 改进:
1. 本节课的课堂活跃度还不够,学生显得有些拘谨,未能发挥出平时课堂思维碰撞产生火花的效果。
2. 在读后分享学生所写的话的环节,可以让学生自行上台来大胆展示,这会促使他们再次切身感悟到应该要去帮助需要帮助的人,让世界充满爱。
