【教学目标】 
1、 复习Unit6和unit7相关内容,夯实巩固已学知识,学生能熟练使用情态动
词。 
2、 学生了解保护地球的途径及方法,并能用英语表达相关建议。 3、 适当拓展reuse, recycle和reduce,学生能够理解并运用3 re。 4、 通过复习巩固,学生能制作一张相关内容的海报。 5、 培养学生热爱家园,热爱地球的情感。 
【教学过程】 Step 1 Warming up 
1、T:It’s a fine day today. So we all have a good mood, Yes? 
Are you ready for our class? 
2、T:Which group’s turn is it? 
Activity one 1、Greeting . 2、Daily talk. 
Step 2 Presentation . 
1、T:Do you know who’s the mother? 
    T: How to protect our mother the Earth? Maybe these can 
help you ? Discuss in your groups. 
T:To protect the Earth, let’s do from you and me, and even other people around us . 
2、T:Today I bring you a new friend,  let’s help him know how 
to protect the Earth. Listen, here he comes. 
 
                    
             
                    
                            T: Do you like the new friend? Do you like his house? What do you think of his house? 
T:You are so good. Then what do you think of these questions? 
     3、T:These two ways we can call it “reuse”. It means we can 
use something again. What can we reuse? 
        T: Good. Time to show your creativity ability now. Show 
in your groups. 
        T: I am so proud of you. Creativity makes better life .Let’s 
enjoy the video. 
 
Activity two 
1、Group work: Discuss how to protect the Earth? 
2、Ask and answer: teach “reuse” 
3、Creativity time: Give a model to Pinch about reusing things. 4、Enjoy the video. Step 3 Consolidation . 
1、T:To have a better life, Pinch is going to change his life, So 
he comes to the Town Tag Sale. It is a good way to reuse things. After the Town Tag Sale, Pinch and his friends can raise a lot of money. They are going to buy some trees for the town. Why? 
 
                    
             
                    
                            T:What else can they do to make the town more beautiful? 2、T:So many good ideas. The animals come and help Pinch  
throw the things away. But they don't know how. Let’s help them, OK? Can I put the newspaper in the bin ? Good ! Because we recycle the newspaper to make a paper box. Recycle means we can change things into something else. 
3、T:Let’s help pinch throw the rubbish. Here are the tips for 
you . 
4、T:These things we can’t recycle. So we should reduce. Let’s 
learn more. So to make our city more beautiful, we should learn how to classify the waste. 
5、T:If you are Pinch, what else can you do to make the city 
clean. You can use these sentences. 
 
 
Activity three 
1、Discussion time: Give Pinch some suggestion. 2、Teach “recycle” 
3、Thinking time: Help pinch throw the rubbish. 4、Teach “reduce” and learn more. 
5、Imagination time: What else can you do to make the city 
clean.“I’m going to  reuse/recycle/reduce…”

Project 2  Reuse and recycle(练习)

  What is recycling? It is to reuse anything that can be used again. Recycling may save our world. “Recycling” also means we should try to save energy. How do we do this? Here are some suggestions:
·If you bring your own bags with you to the shop, you won’t need to use the bags of the shop. This will save bags.
·Don’t buy things that can be used only once. For example, use cloth  napkins  instead of paper napkins.
·Put on warm clothes in the cold season, wear cool clothes during the warm seasons and don’t use air conditions.

·Take showers instead of baths. If you take showers, you use much less water.
