1. 教学内容分析
本节课的教学内容是新标准英语（三起）五年级下册Reading for Pleasure 部分中的The Girl in the Pagoda。故事讲述的是一个女孩被妖怪掳走，关在一座宝塔里。妖怪反复逼迫女孩嫁给他，女孩并没有屈服。最终，女孩用自己的智慧求救并成功获救。 2. 学生情况分析
本节课的教学对象是五年级的学生，他们已经有了一定的英语学习基础和自主学习能力，能够用已学的知识分析并解决相关的问题。学生对于英语绘本阅读比较感兴趣，本节课从学生的兴趣出发，设计相关的环节和活动，培养学生的思维品质和相关能力。 3. 教学目标
知识与技能目标：
（1） 学生能理解：pagoda, sat, blew, at the top of, in front of, marry,
frightened, at the foot of, threw, hit, flew, save. （2） 学生能够阅读并理解本节课的故事。 （3） 学生能够用正确的语音和语调朗读故事。 （4） 学生能够通过小组合作的方式表演本节课的故事。 学习策略目标：
培养学生浏览、略读、预测等阅读策略。 情感态度目标：
培养学生乐于助人的良好品质。学会在遇到危险时，勇敢面对，想办法保护自己，逃离危险。 4. 教学重难点
重点：学生能用正确的语音、语调朗读故事，能够理解故事大意，并回答老师提出的相关问题。
难点：学生能够小组合作表演故事的内容。
5、教学过程与方法 Step 1 Pre-reading 1. Greeting.
2. Sing a song. - Fly,Fly in the Sky
【设计意图】：用学过的英文歌曲作为热身，活跃课堂气氛。 3. Talk about the picture book. - The Girl in the Pagoda
T: Boys and girls, Do you like reading?Do you like reading picture books? Look! I made a picture book for you. This is the cover of the picture book. What can you see in this picture? S1: I can see a beautiful girl. S2: I can see a pagoda.
T:Yes! 教师讲授新词pagoda. 并指向黑板上贴的宝塔. This is a pagoda. And the name of the picture book is The Girl in the Pagoda.教师出示课题,学生齐读。
【设计意图】：将课本中的故事制作成一本绘本，让学生观察绘本的封面，导入本节课的课题。
T: This class we will have a competition between boys team and girls team. Let’s try our beast to climb the pagoda, and let’s see who can be the winner. Come on! 4. Guess.
T:What happened to the girl in this story? Maybe…… S1: Maybe the girl went to play in this pagoda. S2:Maybe the girl met a bad man.
T: You are very clever. Now let’s see what happened together.
【设计意图】：让学生预测故事情节，拓展学生的思维，激发他们学习故事的兴趣。
Step 2 While-reading
1. Watch and answer学习故事中的图1和图2的内容 T:Now let’s watch the video and think about these questions. (1)What did the girl do one day? (2)What happened to her suddenly?
S1: One day, the girl sat under a tree. 教师讲授单词sat.
S2:Suddenly a big wind came and blew her into the sky.教师讲授 blew. 【设计意图】：开门见山，直接引入正题，发展学生预测阅读策略，为阅读故事做好铺垫。
2.Watch and answer 学习故事中图3和4的内容
T:Now let’s watch the video.
教师一遍讲解故事，一遍提问，引导学生回答问题。
T：When the girl opened her eyes, she was at the top of the pagoda. 教师讲授短语 at the top of.
T：A young man was in front of her. 教师讲授短语in front of. T：Do you remember what did the young man ask? Ss：Will you marry me?
T:Yes! 教师出示图片，并讲授单词marry.
T: Did the girl marry the young man? What did she say? Ss :No, I won’t. I want to go home.
T: Exactly! 教师出示图片,并播放对话录音，让学生模仿跟读。
T：Now I’m the young man, and you’re the girl. 让学生感知表演此部分。 T: Will you marry me?
Ss: No, I won’t. I want to go home. T: Good job!
【设计意图】：让学生理解并表演此场景，可以让其切实感受一下，由此为后面的年轻人生气，女孩的想办法求救埋下伏笔,自然过渡。
T:How did the young man feel? Was he happy? sad? angry? Ss: He was very angry.
T: What did he say ? 让学生听并选出答案。 Ss: Then you will stay in this pagoda.
T：Can you say it angrily？让学生感知模仿年轻人的语气。
T: After that, the young man visited the girl every day, but the girl didn’t want to marry him. 学生看图观察，理解课文。
3.Watch and answer学习故事中图5和图6的内容 T:Now let’s watch the video and think about these questions. （1） How was the girl?
（2） What did the girl do?教师讲授短语at the foot of. S1：She was frightened. 教师讲授单词 frightened.
S2：She threw her clothes out of the window. 教师讲授单词 threw. 【设计意图】：培养学生的精读策略，引导学生主动阅读。根据小学生以形象思维为主的特点，使学生理解和 学习语言。通过阅读，可以使学生切实体会到女孩困在塔里恐惧的心情，为后来女孩想办法求救做好铺垫。 4. Watch and answer学习故事中图7内容 （1） 猜测故事结局，自然过渡，重点阅读。
T: Can you guess what happened at the end? Don’t look at book and just talk about your idea.You can work in pairs and discuss the end of the story.让学生同桌互讨论，猜想故事的结局。
T：Now it’s time to show your story. S1/S2/S3…
(2)T: Now let’s see what happened at the end. Answer the question:What did the girl’s brother do?
Ss:He hit the monster with a big stick. 教师讲授单词hit, flew away, save. 【设计意图】：让学生猜测故事结局，可以开扩学生思维。教学设计注重在阅读过程中对学生阅读你能培养，形成学生有效的学习策略，发展自主学习能力。
Step 3 Post-reading
1. Fill in the blanks.让学生根据思维导图填出相应的单词，将故事的内容补充完整。
【设计意图】：为后面将要进行的复述课文和表演课文做铺垫。
2. Retell the story according the mind map on the blackboard.根据思维导图复述课文。
3. Read and perform in roles.学生小组合作，分角色朗读并表演课文。 小组展示，教师点评。 4. Read and think
T:What can you learn from this story?
在讨论理解故事的过程中学会帮助别人，在遇到危险时能够保持镇定，想办法保护自己，逃离危险 。
【设计意图】：对整个故事形成整体理解，用自己的语言叙述故事，提高综合运用语言的能力。老师引导学生讨论如何在危险的情况中，保护自己，培养学生的安全意识，自我保护意识。 5. Read more.
