1.教材分析

What:本板块话题为整形手术,以两篇新闻故事和一篇新闻调查的形式呈现给学生整容的优点和缺点。

How:阅读两篇文章,了解整形手术的案例;听一则新闻报道,抓住整形手术的利弊。

Why:通过不同案例,启发学生理性客观地对待整形手术,表达自己的观点。

2.学情分析

学生们英语基础较好,学习态度认真,学习热情高涨。通过Reading部分的学习,学生已熟练掌握如何阅读新闻,因此对于学生来说,很容易理解本节课中的两篇关于整形手术的案例,大部分学生能够用英语自信地表达对于整形手术的观点;但是听力理解方面的能力较弱。

3.教学目标

By the end of this section, students will be able to:

1. {C}read for key information of a news report related to plastic surgery;

2. listen for the advantages and disadvantages of plastic surgery;

3. show opinions on plastic surgery and cultivate correct values.

4.*重点难点

Students can collect useful expressions through reading and listening to news about plastic surgery.

Students can use expressions they’ve collected and examples to support their opinions about plastic surgery.

Ss read two news stories on P50 and find out the most important information.

Activity 3 

T has Ss read two news stories again and find out more detailed information.

(1) How did the plastic surgery help Mr. Wilson?

(2) What problems did the plastic surgery bring to Miss Edwards?

T has Ss collect key words about plastic surgery.

Listen paragraph by paragraph and take notes. Have Ss summarize each paragraph.

T presents a multiple-choice to help students understand the writer’s attitude.

8.教学反思

本节课通过听、说、读,学生能够对整形手术有了全面的认识,能够辩证地看待整形手术,并举例表达自己的观点。但是在听力过程中,学生对细节略有疏忽。我应该考虑到长时间的听力对于学生的注意力要求较高,可以适当给予提醒和再次播放,帮助学生更好地完成听力训练。
