First Impressions教学设计
一、教材分析
本课时教学内容是人教版《普通高中课程标准实验教科书·英语·必修5》(高中二年级第2学期)Unit3 Life in the future中Reading First Impressions的第一课时。
该文本为一篇科幻类的回忆信件。讲述了作者李强乘坐时间机器去到了未来3008时候的自己的家乡。在3008年自己的家乡中,李强经历了周围环境,交通工具,自己家乡以及人们居住房子的一系列不同于2008年的变化。在这样的变化中,李强表达了自己的感受和体验。
在阅读此文时,对学生的想象力,学生的批判性思考的能力都有一定的要求。学生在跟着李强感受未来1000年后的变化的同时也要及时的有自己的思考。明白未来的这些变化究竟是好还是不好。
同时,该文本为email格式,但又因为李强与父母间的特殊关系,所以在文本中可以清晰看到非正式书信体的文本特征。同时,文章处处体现出如何描写一个人的印象,无论从文章的立意,语言的呈现,如如何回忆,如何描写个人心情,如何,描写一个地方等都对于学生了解文本的特色,帮助学生概括文章大意,以及帮助学生读后写作有着一定的帮助。
二、学情分析
学生对于email,这种文体形式还是比较熟悉的,但平时看的写的较多的都是正式信件,对于非正式信件接触较少,可以提醒他们注意区别两种信件所用的语言的不同。
从文本内容层面来看,本文涉及到的环境,交通,城市已经房屋等比较贴近学生的生活,学生应该对于近几年来的整个社会的变化有一定的感受,因此在阅读本问的内容信息上应该难度不大。
从文本功能语言的角度来看,本文主要涉及到的如何进行回忆,如何描述一个人的情感,如何介绍一个地方等语言文字也并没有存在非常难的词汇和句型结构,但是学生是否能够在看得懂的基础上灵活的运用进自己的作文中,存在一定的困难,因此在学习本文时,应该尽量提醒学生同时尽可能帮助学生进行相应的表达结构上的补充和扩展。
从情感态度价值观上来看,通过本文的学习,能够帮助学生在想象力上,批判思维上,以及用客观的眼光来看待世界发展变化上有一定的启发和提升。比如:学生应该要在阅读文本的基础上,反思现在的环境污染问题,在心中形成环保的理念和正确的态度,要有“绿色”意识;在看待世界发展变化这件事情上能够从客观的角度来看待世界的发展变化,明确“高科技”这一理念对世界的发展变化是起到了非常重要的作用的。但是同时也要形成要从客观的角度来看待世界发展变化, 既这一变化是既有好的一面,又有不好的一面。
三、教学目标
根据英语学科核心素养的要求,从语言学习、阅读策略、思维训练和文化意识等方面对该阅读文本的教学目标进行设计,力求在有所侧重的情况下达成平衡。
1. 语言学习:
(1)学生能够通过阅读明确文本体裁特征为email形式,并且能够了解由于写信人和收信人关系的亲疏,信件有正式和非正式之分。并且在课后能够写一封回信。
(2)学生能够通过本文的学习,了解和掌握如何描写个人印象。
① How to recall one’s memory: I have to remind myself constantly that...; I can still remember the moment when...
② How to describe the actions: At first; Then; Soon;
③ How to describe one’s feelings: as though; I realized that...; I found that... ④ How to describe a place: We reached what looked like a market.
2. 阅读策略:
(1)学生能够通过标题和插图,练习预测的能力,预测文本内容,概括文章主要内容; (2)学生能够通过跳读和扫读,练习快速寻找信息的能力;
3. 思维训练:
(1)逻辑思维能力:学生能够通过信件中细节的阅读,感受作者在未来3008年通过对环境,交通,城市

和房子的变化来体会作者的感受和态度;
(2)批判性思维能力:学生能够通过对未来3008年世界的变化的好坏,来反思环境保护和促进科技发展的重要性,提高“绿色”这一理念的认知和“高科技”对社会发展的重要性的认识。
(3)想象思维能力:学生能够在文本阅读过程中,通过想象未来世界的变化从而训练学生的发散思维。
4. 文化意识:学生通过该文本的阅读,能够增强环保意识和明确高科技对社会发展的重要性。 四、教学重难点

六、教学过程
Step 1:Lead-in:
Lead in the topic of “world’s changes” by showing students a video. While watching the video, students will be able to make notes in the work sheet.

Q: Do you like the changes? Do you feel optimistic or pessimistic towards these changes? Q: How about the changes in 1000 years later? Have you imagined that before ?
【设计意图】 利用视频对学生的冲击,激发学生对文本的兴趣。同时在学生带着问题观看视频时,记录下四个方面的变化,并在worksheet上写下关键词。引导学生在一开始就进入批判性思考。同时询问学生对这些变化的态度,再次引导学生对带着批判的眼光对四个方面的变化进行评价,为之后的文本阅读做出内容和态度上的铺垫。

Predict the main idea of the text with the help of the title and photos in the passage. Q1:In your opinion, which word in the title First Impressions is the key word?
