一、教学内容分析
本单元的中心话题是人类当今面对的环境问题,主要探讨了“全球变暖”和“节约能源”等方面的问题。而Using Language这一课时是在前面Reading部分学生已经初步了解了global warming的现象、原因以及影响的基础上,通过欧阳光给Earth Care写信就What can we do about global warming?这一问题请求帮助和Earth Care提供的具体措施,让学生讨论并提出更多的建议,为后面的海报设计和写作提供充分的材料。也让他们意识到环境问题,人人有责。
二、教学目标
语言目标:掌握词汇表中的单词和短语;理解两封信的内容。 技能目标:了解掌握书信类文章的结构特点和阅读技巧。
培养在书信类文章中寻找信息的能力。 了解海报的制作
情感目标:通过学习能认识到全球变暖问题,人人有责,节能减排,刻不容缓。
三、学习者特征分析
本班学生经过两年的高中学习,已具备一定的语言基础,学习积极性较高,参与性较强。课前翻转任务有二:1.观看记录片an inconvenient truth,更多地了解global warming。2.观看微课,结合记录片内容制作海报(小组合作)。这两项作业在课前都完成得不错。为课堂学习节省了时间并提供了素材。

I think you must have something to say. (To learn about the knowledge of global warming is important. To learn how to cut down on usage of energy and reduce the carbon emissions is important. But the most important is to turn the knowledge into action, to change some familiar patterns or habits, to do what we can do and to influence people around us.) But how?
2. List some ways to be an educator. (As a student, maybe making posters is an easy but efficient way to make our voice heard.)

2.Show a poster model to see what elements are necessary to a poster.
3.Ask Ss to give a proper mark to each poster to see which one is the best.
