教学目标
(1)知识目标:学生能够掌握重要的单词和短语;能够用现在完成时表达新句子。
(2)能力目标:学生能够用已经学过的知识预测一些新信息,培养学生的阅读能力。
(3)情感目标:学会表达自己对家乡的情感以及建设家乡的远大抱负。
2学情分析
本单元是在八九单元的基础上,进一步强化现在完成时的运用。学生已有一定的基础,能够描述对周围事物的情感,恰当地表达感受,能掌握延续性动词的用法,并在具体情境中加以运用。八年级的学生比较活跃,在不同的活动形式中培养合作精神,提高其综合运用语言的能力,同事让学生们通过阅读有关离乡人对家乡的谈论,理解体会思乡的情感。
3教学重、难点
(1)学会如何运用本单元的阅读策略:使用以前的知识。
(2)用现在完成时的语法结构谈论类似的话题。

4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Lead in
Enjoy a song about hometown.
Use the song to lead in to the topic “hometown”.
教学意图:用一首关于故乡的歌导入到故乡这个话题,简单介绍过去十堰人背井离乡,为后面的学习任务做铺垫。
活动2【活动】pre-reading
1. Have students talk about three questions before they read, teacher write down their answers on the Bb.
Q1: Why do millions of Chinese leave the countryside every year?
Q2: How often do you think these people visit their hometowns?
Q3: What new buildings does the government usually build in towns and villages?
2. Have students skim the passage to find out if their answers are the same as in the passage.
教学意图:让学生运用已学过的知识预测文章内容,然后浏览文章,检验预测答案是否和文章中的信息一样。贯彻运用了本单元的阅读策略,培养了学生的阅读能力。
活动3【活动】fast reading
1. Read the passage quickly, match each part with the main idea.
教学意图:训练学生快速阅读文章的能力,通过找每段的中心大意,帮学生整体把握文章结构
2. work in pairs, find expressions in the passage that have the same meanings as these words and phrases.
教学意图:在文中找出与所给单词或短语有相同意思的表达,用已经学过的知识解释新知识,为学生理解文章解决了障碍。
活动4【活动】Careful Reading
1. Read the 1st paragraph together and complete the information of the main character.

教学意图:通过完成表格,学生可以清晰地把握第一段的文本信息,了解主人公的基本情况。
2. Have boys read the 2nd paragraph, girls read the 3rd paragraph, then have Ss talk about the great changes that have taken place in Zhong Wei’s hometown.
Write down the information on the paper.
教学意图:通过完成学案上的第二部分的信息,清晰地掌握了钟伟的家乡发生了怎样的变化。
3. Have one of the students read the last paragraph, find out the answers to the questions.
Q1: What has become a symbol of Zhong Wei’s hometown?
Q2: What will never change?
Q3: What do these memories refer to?
教学意图:总结家乡发生了巨大的变化,但家乡留给我们的美好回忆是永远不变的,寄托了人们对家乡深厚的情感
活动5【活动】Post-reading
1. Work in four, talk about how our hometown has changed these years.
Show students some pictures.
教学意图: 图片展示,激发学生的讨论兴趣。在讨论中,认识到家乡发生了巨变,自豪之情油然而生,也引导学生努力学习,为将来建设自己的家乡贡献力量。
2. Read the passage again, close the book, and complete the summary with words from the passage.
教学意图:回顾本节课所学内容。
活动6【作业】Homework
Write an article about the changes of your hometown.
教学意图: 将课堂上的讨论形成一篇文章,培养学生的写作能力。
