教学设计思路:
本课主要是让学生了解有关着装的艺术。着装艺术与衣服的色彩,款式及个体体型分不开。本课首先通过关于服装的图画来激活学生的兴趣,由教师描述服装的特征,让学生猜测是什么服装,并结合不同的颜色,为后面短文学习中将涉及到的色调做好铺垫。接着由服装类的名词自然过渡到新单词的教学,注重语音、词义与语境的有机结合。然后进入短文的学习。短文学习分为4个步骤,分别为听录音选择主旨大意、快速阅读、细节阅读以及语言输出(帮助李明一家选择合适的服饰)。最后通过班级时装秀,既调动了课堂气氛,又能够使学生在愉快的氛围中应用本节课所学知识,达到应用及巩固语言的目的。 Ⅰ. Teaching aims

(1)学习并掌握新词汇
customer, simple, style, fancy, contrast, broad, waist, slim, suitable, design (2)能够描述不同的体型 2. Skill aims:
(1)能够根据听到的词句识别或指认图片。
(2)能够借助语境和背景知识克服生词障碍、理解大意。 (3) 能根据不同的阅读目的运用不同的阅读策略获取信息。
(4) 能在图片及文字的提示下进行复述并最终能够对不同人的体型提出恰当的着装建议。 3. Emotional aims:
(1)积极参与各种课堂学习活动。
(2)能在英语交流中注意并理解他人的情感。 4. Culture awareness:
不同的场合要着装得体,尤其是参加各式聚会。 Ⅱ. The key points and difficult points 1. Key points:

多媒体课件/学生的着装/图画 V. Teaching procedures
一、通过简单的问候来引起学生的兴趣。
Today we are going to learn Unit 8 Topic1 Section C. First, we will have a revision about the types of clothing. Please guess what clothing it is according to what I say. 由教师描述服装的特色、功能等,让学生根据描述来猜测服装,然后将图画贴在黑板上,为后面的色调区分做好铺垫。
二、过渡到新单词教学。
所有的图画猜测完之后,抛出问题过渡到新单词的学习:There are so many kinds of clothing here. Where can we buy them? In the clothing store. 开始学习新单词。侧重语音与语境相结合,如在教授broad waist 和slim时,课件显示一胖一瘦两个女孩,让学生观察图片,并根据音标猜测新词:Helen has a ________ ________. Lucy is _________. Lucy is much ______ than Helen.
三、过渡到短文1a的学习。
由最后一个新单词suitable进行总结并过渡:As you can see, it’s important for us to wear suitable clothes. If you own a clothing store, it’s also necessary for you to help your customers choose suitable clothes. And we’re going to learn something about that today. Step 1: Listen to the tape recording and choose the main idea for this passage. Step 2: Read 1a quickly and answer two questions.
1) How many kinds of body shapes are there in the passage? 2) What are they?
Step 3: Read 1a again and give suggestions about dressing for these customers. Finish 1b.

Check the answers in 1b. Pay attention to the colors. The pictures on the blackboard will
help students to understand the colors. Retell with the information in 1b one by one.
Step 4: Finish Part 2. Help Li Ming’s family choose suitable clothes. Talk about their body shapes first. Give suggestions and reasons one by one. Read an example. 四、Project—Class Fashion Show
选择8个不同体型的模特,由两个服装设计师根据他们的不同体型选择合适的衣服。 当模特换上新衣服之后,应用本节课所学内容对他们进行简单的评价,最后进行时装表演。 目的在于对本节课所学知识进行检测和巩固,同时促进学生的团队合作、活跃课堂气氛。 五、作业布置。
Survey your friends about what they like to wear and give them some suggestions on dressing. Then write a short passage about the information.
