【课前准备】背景知识   
《美猴王》讲述了在花果山上,猴群正在紧张的和混世魔王战斗。一块在花果山上蕴育多年的仙石突然崩裂,从里面诞生出一只石猴来。在老猴王的循循善诱下,石猴由被猴群排挤直至拥护为猴王。为了更好的保护花果山,在大家的劝解下,小石猴决定出海学艺。石猴来到了灵台方寸山向菩提祖师学艺。他不但学有所成,还交到了很多新朋友,另外也拥有了自己的名字——孙悟空。
 
七、Teaching and Learning Steps:
Step I. Teaching Aims
Tell the Ss they are going to learn Unit 6 Section A3a-3c. And show students the learning aims of this lesson.
 (设计意图:上课伊始,向学生展示学习课题与学习目标,帮助他们明确这一节课的学习任务所在。)
StepⅡ.Pre-reading activities
1. Preview
Ask the students to preview the passage by themselves. Then underline what they can not understand in order that they can study hard and listen to the teacher carefully.
(设计意图:让学生提前感知课文,掌握基本的单词和短语,便于学生理解和掌握课文。这样也可以促使学生养成必备的预习习惯,为本课的学习打下基础。)
 2. Warming up and leading in
Firstly, ask the students the following questions:
1. Do you like listening or telling stories?
2. What stories have you ever heard of? Tell us what their names are.
Then, I ask the students to guess what my favorite story is. Next I show students a picture about Fight White-Boned Demon three times and tell them it’s my favorite story. The Monkey King is my favorite character in this story because he is clever and brave.
3. Watching a video
Show a video about the Monkey King to the students and then ask them to answer the following questions:
1. What does the video show?
2. Who is the main character in this video?
2. Do you want to know more about him?
Then I tell the students “If you want to know more about the Monkey King, let’s keep quiet and read the passage together.”

From the passage, what does the writer want to tell us?
A. To tell us Journey to the West and the Monkey King.
B. To tell us the Monkey King is very popular outside China.
C. To let people know better about the Monkey King.
(设计意图: 该任务意在引导学生速读课文,通过回答问题来实现对课文的整体感知。因为学生要回答这个问题,必须运用略读的技巧捕捉有用的信息,进而获取文章的大意,不要求学生获取所有细节信息。)
