一、教学设计指导思想
充分发挥学生的主体地位,让学生通过独学、对学、群学等形式掌握知识。注重阅读方法和技巧的指导,培养阅读能力。创设真实情景,学以致用,实现语言知识的实际运用,同时渗透情感教育,鼓励学生了解文化差异,培养爱国热情和合作意识。 二、教材分析
本课为九年级上册第三单元第二话题SectionC, 是一节阅读课,本话题主要学习中西方文化差异,本课学生在SectionA、B学习手势语、动作的基础上,学习有关动植物在中西方文化中的差异的阅读文章,重点学习“be considered as„/stand for ”等的表达,通过阅读和运用进一步了解中西方文化差异,增长知识,培养爱国热情。 三、教学目标(Learning objectives) a. Knowledge Objectives (知识目标)
1. New words:consider, honest, ancient, compare, courage, mistake, pride„ and key phrases: at times, compare „ to „ , make mistakes „ . 2. Learn some idioms(习语) with “dogs”. b. Skill Objectives(能力目标)
1. 学习常用的阅读技巧:skimming, scanning, predict„ 2. 写作的基本方法。
c. Moral Objectives(情感目标) 1. 通过小组合作,培养团队精神。 2. 了解异国文化,拓宽课外知识面。 四、教学重难点
重点:Know the differences between cultures. 难点:Express the differences. 五、教学方法

六、教学过程(Learning steps) Step1 Warming up.
Play a game: I do, you guess.
(设计意图:通过play a game de 形式进行课前热身,吸引学习兴趣,在复习手势语在不同文化中的不同含义引入本课主题,继续谈论文化差异。) Step2 Leading in.
1. Show the learning objectives.
2. Guess the meaning of the phrases of dogs.
(设计意图:出示学习目标,让学生目标明确的进行本课学习;引导学生猜测dogs在不同文化中的含义,顺利引入新课学习。) Step3 Pre-reading 读前
Learn some new words: positive、negetive „
(设计意图:出示图片:patterns of bat,引导学生了解bat在中西方文化中的不同含义,同时在语境中学习新单词,易于学生理解掌握。) Step4 While-reading读中
(读中任务前,先出示本节课阅读步骤及主要任务的图表,让学生对本节课的阅读任务及阅读形式做到心中有数,提高学习效率。)
Task 1 Skimming略读
Go through the passage and choose the best title.
(设计意图:通读课文,理清文章结构,把握文章主旨。并引导学生掌握阅读技巧: Tip1:抓关键词:Pay attention to some main sentences. )
Task 2 Scanning(寻读)
Tip2: Find out the key words in the questions, and read the related information in the passage.
1. Read Para.2, find out the meaning of the expressions. 2. Read Para.3 quickly and mark T or F.
(设计意图:寻读课文第二段,理解一些表达的含义;寻读第三段,判断正误,把握文中的重点信息,初步理解课文内容。设置两个不同形式的任务,培养学生寻读你的阅读
技巧。)
