一、教学内容分析
In this period, Ss can master the basic sentence patterns of the present progressive tense through learning some activities and use the structure,”be(is, am, are)+V-ing”, to discuss the things people are doing. 二、学情分析
This is a new tense the Ss are going to learn, but most Ss in Class 1, Grade 7 have solid foundations. They have a good perception, so we will have a lively class atmosphere in teaching, which makes English study a happy experience. 三、教学目标
Ⅰ. About knowledge: Ss need to master the main words and phrases and comprehend the main structures of the present progressivetense.
Ⅱ. About skills: Ss can describe and express the activities that are happening using the present progressive tense.
Ⅲ. About affections: This period can improve Ss‟ group consciousness by asking each other or discussing themselves.
四、教学重难点
Ⅰ. The important points: Usage of words and phrases in present progressive tense and simple actions with present progressive tense, eg: cleaning, talking on the phone, watching TV, and making soup, etc.
Ⅱ. The difficult points: Describe what they are doing in their communications correctly.

Step 1 . Lead-in T: Greets the Ss and let
Ss sing a song. After that, asks : Can you play ping-pong? Asks two Ss to come to the front and show us. T asks them
