2学情分析
进入八年级后,班级学生两极分化的问题比较突出。在学习第一单元之后,大部分学生对保护濒危动物这样话题比较了解。但是,在篇章阅读方面,他们对生词的理解、主题及细节的查找、文章结构的分析等都有待学习和提高。我们教师需要在课堂教学中输入阅读策略以培养他们的阅读能力。

2. To get information from the reading material about pandas.
3. To understand the main idea of each paragraph of the article.
4. To write a passage about an animal in danger.

4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Lead-in 
Watch a video to attract the Ss attention to the situation that some animals live in. Do they live in peace or in danger?    
设计意图:通过观看视频,导入主题,激发学生的积极参与性。
活动2【讲授】Pre-task
Ask Ss three questions:
1. What is the WWF?
2. What is the symbol of the WWF?
3. What do you know about pandas?
设计意图:通过提问及图片提示来激活学生已有的知识,具有激活图式的功能,为下面的阅读做铺垫。
活动3【讲授】While-task
Fast-reading: Read the passage quickly and match the headings with the paragraphs. 
Paragraph 1                a) Nature parks for pandas
Paragraph 2               b) WWF and animals in danger
Paragraph 3                  c) The panda’s home
Paragraph 4                 d) An animal in danger
设计意图:学生个人快速浏览课文,掌握文章段落的主旨大意并将小标题与段落匹配。有助于培养学生的略读能力。
