Animals of the Arctic教学设计表
整体设计思路:
本课由讨论不同动物的栖息地开始,引出北极熊这一动物,为接下来阅读内容做铺垫。阅读之前给出任务一,让学生猜测哪些动物生活在北极,学生带着任务去看,感知文章主题。阅读环节中教师给出阅读任务二,学生通过快速阅读了解在北极有哪些动物,通过听并且连线的活动了解这些动物
最喜欢的食物。学生在完成阅读任务三时,通过仔细阅读文章,找出文章细节部分的信息,并利用一张表格将本课信息进行归纳总结,并了解到动物保护色这一特性。阅读后的环节学生模仿教师描述动物让学生猜的例子,通过小组讨论完成描述动物的小短文,完成输出环节。

Ⅱ、Analysis of the
pupils:
This text is for grade 5 pupils to use, they have learned English regularly for two years, they have accumulated some words and sentence patterns about animals, and they have grasped some methods and skills of learning English , They also have independent learning desire.
At the same time, pupils of this age are mostly very
active, they have strong imitative ability and thirst for
knowledge, they don’t like mechanical learning.
They like intuitive thinking together with abstract thinking , teachers should present the questions directly and specifically, and the questions should be fun, meanwhile we should create a harmonious,relaxed atmosphere.
Ⅲ、Teaching main points and difficulties:
1.The habits about these animals Through showing some pictures and comparing with the things around us, pupils can know
the habits of these Arctic animals.
2. Pupils can understand polar bears are 3 metres high and 650 kilos.
3. Pupils can know the Animals' protective coloring enables them to blend with their surroundings.
3. Pupils can describe some animals’ habits. Ⅳ、Teaching aims:
1. With the help of sentence pattern and pictures, students can know the habits about these animals.
2. Pupils can describe the habits of some animals, and encourage pupils to share the work of their group. 3. Pupils can understand the living condition of arctic animals according to the global warming . Ⅴ、Teaching method:
