PEP小学五年级英语上册Unit1教材分析
一、单元教材解读
1.本单元重点学习描述人物体貌特征和个性的语言，其中难点在于A、B部分Read and write 中对话的口头以及书面表达。学生用书在A、B部分Let's talk 活动中做了铺垫，要求教师在教学过程中注意反复利用已学的任务，让学生通过完成任务型活动感知新的语言点，以减轻教与学的难度。 2.另外，本单元A、B部分Let's try 的听力练习在教学中要予以特别关注，这是本学期新出现的一种教学形式。这一部分是Let's talk 中新句型的教学铺垫，在教学过程中可通过完成这项听力练习自然引出新一轮的对话教学。
二、教学目标 1.Ability aims
（1）能够简单描述自己教师的体貌特征及性格特点，如：We have a new English teacher．He's tall and strong．He's very funny．
（2）能够询问并介绍学校里教师的情况，如：Who's your English teacher? Mr Carter．He's from Canada．What's he like? He's tall and strong．
（3）能够听懂一些描述人物特征的简单对话，完成学生用书中的Let's try部分。
（4）能够听懂、会唱歌曲“My New Teacher”。能够
灵活替换歌词中的科目及表示人物特征的形容词。
2.Knowledge aims
（1）理解A、B部分Read and write中的会话，并根据提示填充句子或回答问题。
（2）听、说、读、写A、B部分Let's learn和Read and write中的四会单词和句子。
（3）理解Let's start、Let's find out、Let's sing、 Let's chant和Pair work等部分的内容。
（4）了解Pronunciation部分的字母组合在单词中的发音，并能熟练读出例词。
（5）了解Task time、Story time、Good to know等部分的内容。
3.情感、策略、文化等有关目标
（1）情感态度：根据小学高年级阶段学生的特点，引导他们在英语学习过程中更大限度发挥自主学习能力，积极主动地进行英语学习，更好地激发他们英语学习的兴趣。
（2）学习策略：学习过程中注意培养学生合作学习的态度和方法，有效利用学生用书中设计的Pair work、Group work、Talk and draw以及Task time部分，培养学生合作学习的意识。
（3）文化目标：了解中西方国家在称呼人名上的不同习惯。
三、教学重难点
1.本单元的教学难点是如何利用所提供的对话和情景，
以旧引新，让学生进入学习状态。
2.听、说、读、写A、B部分Let’s learn 和Read and write 中的四会单词和句子.
3.能够简单描述自己教师的体貌特征及性格特点，如：We have a new English teacher. He’s tall and strong. He’s very funny.
4.能够询问并介绍学校里教师的情况，如： Who’s your English teacher? Mr. Carter .He’s from Canada. What’s he like? He’s tall and strong.
5.理解A、B部分Read and write 中的会话，并根据提示填充句子或回答问题。
四、教学建议
1.本单元的教学难点应充分利用所提供的情景，以旧引新，让学生进入积极地学习状态加以突破。
2.Let’s start部分在学生用书当中首次出现，教师应正确理解此部分的辅垫作用，可根据实际教学需要加以运用，并帮助学生熟悉教材内容的变化。
3.利用学生用书中设计的Pair work 、Group work、Talk and draw 以及Task time部分，培养学生合作学习的意识。
4.在教学过程中，更大限度发挥学生自主学习能力，积极主动地进行英语学习，更好地激发他们英语学习的兴趣。
5.由于教学内容非常贴近学生的实际生活，教师应充分利用学校的教学资源，让学生进行采访，并用英语描述学校的教师。

1．能正确听，说，朗读“Who is …? He/She is…What’s he/she
like? He/She is …Is he/she…?Yes,he/she is. No, he/she isn’t.”
2.能正确听，说，认读表示人物外貌与性格特征的形容词funny,kind,,polite,hard-working,clever. 3.培养学生热爱、尊敬老师的情感。 Ⅱ.Teaching Aids：

用英语准确询问并回答人物特征，如：“Who is „? He/She is„What’s he/she like? He/She is „ Is he/she„?Yes,he/she is. No, he/she isn’t.” Ⅳ.Teaching procedures: Step1.Warming up Greetings

Play a game:Bomb!
Listen to the tape and read after it. Match and say.
.Give Ss 3 mints to finish the part and make a dialogue with
partners.
