教学目标
1. Knowledge aims
a. Students should learn and use the following words and expressions :difficult, simplify, drag, spit, lack, triangle, onion, worthwhile have access to, set up ; words to describe teachers: wonderful, patient, hard-working, devoted, committed
b. Students are enabled to use the grammar: I wish… I should have done…
2. Ability aims
a. Students can use some adjectives to describe teachers.
b. Students can understand the reading passage clearly.
c. Students are able to use “I wish… and I should have done …” to express regrets.
3. Moral aims
In this lesson, I encourage the students to be more interested in study by letting them know that even a
difficult student like Graham can be changed into a successful adult, arousing their feelings of thanks and respect for the teachers.
2教学内容
1.教材内容的地位、作用与意义
本单元的中心话题是“Learning”,内容涉及“终身学习”、“不同的学校”、“老师”、“理解”等话题。在Warm-up及第1,2课时里,学生已经围绕与学习相关的话题展开了活动,那么谈论与学习关系密切的“老师”这一话题就自然地展开了。
2.教材编排的特点、重点与难点
本文由两部分组成My Teacher 和My Student 组成,分别从学生Graham Lawrence对老师Brian Jenkins的印象、老师对学生的印象及老师自己对“教师”这一行业的评价展开描述,体现了老师在教育学生尤其是问题学生的过人之处。
鉴于本课是阅读课,课型为Language Focus,我把本课设计为读懂课文结合重要的语言、语法点,本人希望通过本课的教学达到师生间的相互理解及让学生表达对老师的感激之情。
3教学重点
(1) Getting the students to understand the passage clearly.
(2) Focusing on the grammar points---- I wish…/ I should have done….
4教学难点
(1) Understanding the two clues of the passage: In what ways was Graham difficult? What did Mr. Jenkins do to change Graham?
(2) Learning to use “I wish… and I should have done… ” to express regrets.
5教学对象
高二学生经过了高一的适应性阶段后,对英语新课标的要求及老师的上课方式有了一定的认识和了解,树立了较正确的英语学习观。他们在课堂上能积极配合英语教学,这充分显示了高二学生渴望走向成熟的特点。由于缺乏真实的语言环境,学生虽然能听懂一定难度的课堂用语,但口语表达仍欠流利和地道,大多学生只会使用简单的单词和句型。本设计适合于普通水平的班级,人数50人左右,达到课程标准要求的7级水平。
本人借班上课,是我校的高二(36)班,这是一个普通层次的理科班,男女比例较适中,虽然相当一部分学生的英语基础较差,但他们的求知欲较强,能积极参与课堂学习,但由于词汇量欠缺,大部分学生的口语表达能力及课文理解能力较差,需要老师给予清晰的任务指示和引导。

Fast reading Read the text quickly and answer two questions. (work sheet) (1) What kind of student was Graham? (2) What kind of teacher was Mr. Jenkins in Graham’s eyes? 2. Detailed reading Read the text again and find the key words in the text to finish the exercises. (work sheet) (1) In what ways was Graham difficult? (Fill in a table with the key words) (2) What did Mr. Jenkins do to change Graham? (Complete the sentences with the key words) Step 3. Further development 1. Ss enjoy the pictures and use some adjectives to describe teachers. Ss learn and read the target words. Ss scan the passage quickly, and answer two questions.. Ss skim the passage efficiently and get the key words to finish the exercises. Ss read the last two paragraphs again and find out the answers. Ss learn to understand the English sentences and then translate the Chinese sentences into English sentences again. Ss work together to find the sentences, discuss how to express regrets, and then report their jobs. Ss do some exercises to consolidate the knowledge. Ss work together to summarize what they have learned in this lesson. Ss finish the homework after class to consolidate the knowledge. |
Arouse the Ss’ interests and lead in the text. Review some words that they’ve learned to lead them to reusing the knowledge. Let Ss be familiar with the key words in the text to reduce the difficulty while reading. Train Ss’ ability of reading fast and getting the useful information. Train Ss’ ability of getting detailed information to master the two clues of the text and understand the text clearly. Let the students further understand the text and make them know the conditions of being a teacher, boosting their respect for teachers. Show students a way of learning English by understanding the sentences and then translating both Chinese and English sentences. Let students find and summarize how to express regrets and focus on grammar points, meanwhile making Ss feel thankful and respectful for the teachers. Let them review the knowledge and help them to memorize the knowledge. Let Ss consolidate the knowledge by doing homework. |

上完这节课后,我认为这节课较好地完成了预设的教学目标,教学思路清晰,课件制作精细,课堂气氛活跃,体现了教师为主导,学生为主体的原则,所有任务和操练都围绕学生为主线进行,层层深入,学生表现积极、主动、配合,整个过程动静相宜,松弛有度。师生互动良好,适度地进行情感教育,增加了师生间的理解和信任。但由于课堂时间仅为40分钟,非常有限。我在给学生独立思考和合作讨论探究的时间不够充分,而且课堂评价不够多样化。这需要在今后的教学中不断摸索,不断提高和完善。 | |||||||||
