Teaching plan
Teaching objectives:
1. To have a knowledge of new words
2. To know how to memorize words effectively 3. To put what have been learned into practice
4. To establish a sense of achievement on vocabulary
Teaching procedures
Step 1 Lead-in
1. Show a mind-map with the words to be learned
2. Classify the words into three parts according to their part of speech: nouns, adjectives, verbs 3. Three golden keys are to be shared about memorizing new words effectively
Step 2 Show three golden keys
Key No. 1 : Memorize nouns with pictures, let the imagination run wild
1. Show students pictures and let them tell the associations about the pictures 2. Introduce information about the words related to Antarctica
3. Read the words after the teacher, make sure of every pronunciation
4. Give the students one minute to introduce Antarctica with the given words, the students are to speak to themselves with the help of the mind map, and the teacher is to keep the time
5. Four students are to introduce Antarctica, it starts with one student with one sentence, and the second student is to repeat the first sentence and carry on with another sentence, the third student is to repeat the first two sentences and carry on with another sentence, the fourth student is to repeat the first three sentences and carry on with another sentence. All the four students are to use as many given words as possible in one sentence .
Key No. 2: Memorize adjectives with nouns, adjectives plays an important role in English learning, they polish the nouns, making them come to life
1. Match-work : Each student is given a handout to match the adjectives with the nouns, they are to do it in groups

Key No. 3: Memorize verbs in sentences with the help of dictionaries
1. Group work: Refer to the dictionary to find the best sentence to illustrate the usage of the verbs, each group is given one verb.
2. Each group chooses one student to share the sentence with others.
3. Filling in the blanks: Each student is given a handout to fill in the blanks with the verbs, they are to do it in groups

Step 3 Make up stories
1. Group-work : Each group is to make up one story, use as many given words as possible, make the story creative, positive and fantastic
2. Show time: Group leaders are to present their stories, and the audience are to repeat the words the presenters use
