(1)掌握和理解下列单词及短语,并能在相关主题阅读及写作中熟练运用:community, child, children, a lot of, sport center, close to, far from, service, colorful.
(2)能熟练运用there be句型来介绍社区及周边设施;能够就“谈论社区环境、周边设施”等话题进行交流与陈述. 2. Skill aims
(1)能根据图文就居住环境和邻里关系等基本话题进行交流。 (2) 能写出介绍自己居住的社区环境的短文。 3. Emotional aims

Whack-a-mole(打地鼠) :Read the words as quickly as you can。Help students to review the words about the facility . Step3 Presentation
Pre-reading
1.The little designer: Design a community by building some facility.Lead in the topic“Community”.
2. Show the flash about Linda’s community and let students think about the following questions:
(1)What is the name of the community? (2).Do you want to live there? Why?
3.Learn new words and phrases: child(children),colorful a lot of ,close to ,far from (Task1)
While-reading
1. Sanning(快速阅读). Read the passage quickly and think about the main idea of each paragraph. (Task2)
2. Detailed reading(细节阅读). (1).Read paragraph 1 and fill in the blanks.
“Who lives in the community?”
(2) .Read paragraph 2 and underline the names of the places in the community. Then fill in the blanks with them.
“What’s in the community?”
(3).Read the last paragraph and complete the sentences. Let students learn to how to find out the key words.(Task3)
3.Language point

Lucky turntable:The teacher designs a lucky turntable to help students understand the passage and consolidate the key points . The student can choose three tasks by whirling the turntable. After the task, they can get some points for their group. Step4 Summary.
1. Use the“mind map”(思维导图) to help students summary the structure of the passage .Lead the students to organize their idea when they write a passage about their community. Step5 Homework
1.Please draw a mind map of your own community.
2.Then write a short passage to describe your community according to the mind map.
